Brilliant companion to start running/jogging!
When I first downloaded this app, I found it difficult to run for more than 30 seconds at a time. C25K makes it really easy to get into running slightly longer each time and it doesn’t push you to do a certain speed or distance. I completed my first 5k today on the last run of the program, running for 30minutes straight. I never would have been able to do it without Jo Whiley in my ear!!! Thanks C25K for helping to change my health and fitness regime!

I’m not sure why I decided to try this. I have never played any sports. At 67 I am aware of potential health issues looming though. I chose Sarah Millican to be my coach in an effort to lessen any sporty overtones. After the first session I went home thinking I can’t do this! I found it really hard. The next session was easier and I felt more confident. I have completed the programme in the 9 weeks but I had to repeat one 25 minutes run as I had to stop early due to a painful knee. I may be able to run for 30 minutes but it isn’t 5k. My style is very much shambling jog so I’m very slow. That said, I am obviously fitter and I think I will continue to run but I’m going to go for shorter times and see if I can go further. My advice is- give it a go. If I can do it, so can you. The programme is very sensible and you can take longer than 9 weeks, repeat runs and change coaches. Go for it!

Possible update issue? My sound no longer reduces when instructor speaks or turns off if selected? 🙁
