Active 10 review
I have been using this excellent and simple to use App for a few years now. The aim is to record active walking minutes on a daily and weekly basis. I do, however, have a concern over the lack of one feature, the inability of it to recognise the effort used in climbing a hill. Part of my weekly routine is to walk, at least once a week up a steep hill local to my house. The ascent is 174 m / 571 ft to the summit of 294 m / 964 ft. This takes me some 35 minutes which the App does not recognise as “being active”. Only the return active minutes are recorded as the pace is naturally much quicker, but still using effort. Being a senior citizen well into retirement I find the Active 10 App does not give me any credit for the considerable effort expended! I know full well the reason for this is that it only counts the rate of pace above a set level. Can anything be done to improve the App on this respect? GG Blairgowrie, Scotland.

I love this app Im mid 60s so set it as suggested to 10 minutes brisk walking and it sits on my Home Screen so I can see the progress and it reminds me to walk at a healthy stride.
Keeps me focused
I like this app when it’s working to keep me focused on walking enough every day. However, I do get a little irritated when it clearly hasn’t logged my walking properly i.e. when I do a walk I regularly do at the same speed but the app says I’ve only walked a fraction of the minutes I know I’ve walked
