Kia Access is the official Kia America, Inc. owner’s app. Kia Access makes getting your vehicle information and services easier than ever. Gain all the benefits of the Kia Owner’s Portal, combined with many of the convenient, streamlined features of Kia Connect (formerly known as UVO link) (if equipped) [1] [2] [4] – right in the palm of your hand.

Download the app to access:

• Owner’s Manual, quick guides, videos, and warranty information
• Vehicle payment information (if financed through Kia Motors Finance)
• Information about maintenance milestones

Vehicles equipped with Kia Connect may also have access to the following features: 
• Vehicle health reports [2]
• Send locations to your vehicle’s navigation system [3]
• Remotely lock/unlock doors and initiate horns & lights [2]
• Remotely find your car [3]
• Remotely set your car’s cabin temperature [4]

Plug-in hybrid and electric vehicles support special features, including:
• Remotely check battery status and estimated driving range

Kia Connect features require an active Kia Connect subscription; purchase/lease of certain new Kia vehicles with Kia Connect includes a complimentary 1-year subscription starting from new vehicle retail sale/lease date as recorded by the dealer. After the complimentary 1-year Kia Connect subscription expires, continued access to the full suite of Kia Connect services available on the vehicle will require a paid subscription at the then-current subscription rate or use of certain Kia Connect features may immediately terminate. Keeps logging me out

Great utility but it logs me out after almost every time I use it…. Very frustrating

$20 a month just to start your car!!

UVO services are an absolute rip off. More than double the cost for the exact same features I had on my Chevy that I just traded in. Also, the app has all of the features you would want for remote start, lock/unlock, but none of them are reliable. My car has a full cell signal, so it’s not that. Just an unreliable service from Kia unfortunately.

360 camera did not work

The turning on/off mechanism is fine and normal. The unlocking and locking mechanism does take some time to actually work you can’t just simply stand next to the car and have the door lock within seconds. I’ve seen better and faster Features on different applications to open cars and lock doors of cars. After the second year, the 360camera did not work anymore and that aspect that I did not take pictures around it ownself anymore. The 360 camera is a very big feature of the application for it not to work. Every other car has remote start and remote lock mechanism and abilities. Not every single one has the camera to take a picture of the vehicle 360 feature for it not to work I spoke to customer service. They said they would give me the money back for the rest of the time that I paid for and therefore not be able to use any of the other services which didn’t make any sense.

Buggy & Terrible UI

Most Recent Update is Terrible!!!

This is literally an “if it’s not broke, don’t fix it“ situation. This most recent app update has completely screwed this app up. Prior to this, I didn’t have any problems. Now, there are numerous issues. Sometimes my car doesn’t even start when initiating the remote start option from the app. If it does start, my custom options (seat warmer, defrost front & rear windows, steering wheel warmer) are not on when I get into the car. Every time I save my custom start options, when I go back into the app, none of my custom options are saved. With the amount of money customers are being charged to use this app, there is no way this many problems should be had.

I wholly regret buying this

I live in an apartment complex. My parking spot is within eyesight of my window. I bought the subscription thinking that it would be beneficial in the winter when I needed to defrost my car before I go to work. The app worked approximately 25% of the time. Even with my car was in range and was in eyesight. I parked my car in a parking garage on the top level, easily seen from my balcony due to overflow parking. I wondered around the parking garage on the top level and couldn’t find my car. So I use the feature “find my car“. It identified that the car was still in the exact same location that I was standing in, but in fact, my car had gotten towed and was over 45 minutes away. I have used the unlock and lock feature of this car a few times as well. In order for this to properly work, I need to be standing within 5 feet of my car. When shown at the dealership, the car could’ve been in eyesight, and this would have worked just fine. What is the point of paying and expensive yearly subscription for our service that does not work as expected? This feels like a complete rip off and a pathetic cash grab by Kia.
