Bark provides families with all the tools they need to raise kids in the digital age. Our comprehensive service lets you monitor content, manage screen time, and filter websites so you can get peace of mind while your child is online. CONTENT MONITORING Bark monitors your child’s texts, email, YouTube, and 30+ apps and social media platforms for issues like cyberbullying, adult content, sexual predators, profanity, suicidal ideation, threats of violence, and more. Parents receive alerts only when something potentially problematic occurs online. You won’t have full access to everything on your child’s phone — just the things you might need to know about. SCREEN TIME MANAGEMENT Families can set healthy time limits and create schedules for when their children’s devices can connect to the internet (through both cell service and Wi-Fi). WEB FILTERING Our web filter lets you select which websites your child can access on their devices. You can allow or block specific sites — or even whole categories like streaming services, online gaming, sexual content, and more. BARK TESTIMONIALS • "My wife and I LOVE Bark. We've had some tough but productive conversations with our 13-year-old son. It's proving to be extremely valuable." — Josh L. • “It’s just another set of protections we as parents give our kids for the digital environment (or as my 10-year-old calls it, a “cell phone seat belt”). My oldest is a 9th grader, and while I trust her, I’ve come to realize through the alerts that some of her friends aren’t truly her friends. It’s led to some amazing conversations about choosing friends wisely and recognizing toxic people. While she wasn’t for Bark at first, she’s since said she’s grateful that I saw those messages because it reaffirmed what she was feeling but didn’t know how to verbalize without sounding sensitive.” — Bark Parent • "Bark notified me that my young daughter had unknowingly revealed her phone number to strangers on Twitter. The fact that Bark notified me was impressive and led to an informative discussion with her the same day." — Jon B. • “Since Bark alerted us to the suicidal language used in the Google doc that was being used in a chat document with a friend, we have seen both a pediatrician and a licensed counselor. We are hopeful for a positive outcome. Thanks to Bark for letting us peek into our child’s mind!” — Bark Parent • “This app is a lifesaver! It has allowed us to catch so many “red flags” in the content my kids have accessed on their devices and in their interactions with friends and other people online that I wouldn’t have ever known about otherwise. The big difference between Bark and other “Parental Control” software is that Bark allows your kids to have so much more privacy. It doesn’t show you everything they do, but sends an instant alert regarding any activity that might be concerning. Highly recommended!” — Bark Parent With Bark, you can help keep your kids safe both online and in real life. Try it out for seven days absolutely free! Good so far
My kids have iPhones and I’m having the hardest time connecting them. I’m able to connect everything else but the phones. The notifications for usage is nice but I would like to add the phones.
So good, so bad!
Before, we used 4 different apps to do what this one app does. 🤷🏻♂️That says it all!
Disappointed
The app worked great when my kids had androids. They upgraded to iPhones and it was such a pain to install and then it barely monitored anything. Snapchat and tik tok especially. So unfortunately I canceled our membership. So moral of the story if you have an android it works great but if you have an iPhone, not so much.
Actual Spyware, uploads your kids data to the cloud
parents beware, on android you can see permissions for app, and on the parents version of bark, it has permissions it doesn't need at all. Also bark has uploaded studys showing what apps most kids use and what most kids are talking about in age groups, how did they get this info you may ask? By just uploading your kids data to the cloud. They also have a video on their YouTube which proves people who work at bark can look at your kids messages. They say they intercepted a girl talking to a pedo, then contacted her parents, sure that's good, now how did they get those messages if what they say in their tos, privacy policy and what they say on people's comments is true? "Your messages are encrypted and only uses ai to detect if messages are bad" they are lying to you and this is just to gather your kids data, if you care about your kids data going online DONT GET THIS APP! IT'S SPYWARE THAT SPUS ON KIDS, UPLOADS IT TO THE CLOUD AND SPYS ON PARENTS WITH SPYWARE
Worst Customer Service Ever
I purchased a Bark Phone for my son. When we decided to switch his number to a new phone, his Bark phone locked him out of his pictures even though the phone was prepaid through the month. When I tried to reactivate it, Bark charged me a second prepaid fee and the phone is still locked! There is no customer service number to be found anywhere on their website. All that is provided is an AI chatbot that says it will get you to customer support but only sends you an email of your conversation. I am livid.
bark review
this is coming from a child not adult ⚠️ I recently got this on my phone, this app is dumb and useless. It gives you severe warnings for no reasons and its just dumb, it gave my parents a notification because “severe drug usuage” because i asked my dad where the bandaids were and sometimes I'm not comfortable with telling my parents about whats going on so I tell one of my closest friends. I also don’t want this bark program going through my phone.
Android capable but not a good fit for iPhone
Monitoring my children’s iPhones when you attempt to analyze a device an alert pops up with a message that the recent OS with apple has become sophisticated and your child will need to enter their passcode? Seriously? First the whole point is to monitor. Kids are not going to openly provide the passcode to scan their text and apps. Solution should have the capability to bypass and if it can’t not worth it. Might as will just ask your children to provide the phone for review. Not worth it.
