Cannot Connect
The old app worked great. Cannot get the new app to connect to my heating aids so that I can adjust level. Terrible.
Updated review
I’m so pleased the app now can be on my iwatch face so I can adjust the setting and sounds without using my phone. At a play or theater, it’s so easy to adjust without disturbing others around me.
Okay so far.
Received the hearing aids 2 weeks ago. The aids have stayed paired throughout to iPhone 15 with IOS 17.4.1 installed. TV adapter was paired before leaving the audiologist. I have not tried to pair with an older iPad and do not have the Apple Watch. I stream audio, video audio, and phone calls directly from the phone to the aids. If it matters the hearing aid charger and iPhone are in close proximity to one another and the phone remains on as I have no landline. I have not used all features yet so can’t give a higher (or lower) rating but for what I am doing now I have no issues.
Poor Program
Constantly refuses to believe my aids are connected to my iPad. I have to uninstall and reinstall to get it to work. After a few days(sometimes just one day) I have to do it all over.
App
Basic features. Limited adjustments. Should allow you to create a custom setting but doesn’t. Doesn’t have a watch app which is convenient for mute places. Oticon on gave you more options and capabilities. Why’d they switch to this is app?
Horrible replacement
The original Opticon app worked just fine. The opticon companion is horrible. It makes your purchase of opticon hearing aids a very poor decision. This new app causes my hearing aids to go on and off while listening to my phone or iPad.
Inconsistent
This app randomly stops connection with one or both of my hearing aids. I often have to turn my phone off and restart to get the app to connect and even then, sometimes it will show one hearing aid as disconnected when it’s not. So flaky. I didn’t have this problem with the previous Oticon ON app. Very frustrated with this app.
We've added the option of monitoring the charging status of your hearing aids in the app. You can check if your hearing aids are charging or fully charged while in charger.* We've also added dark mode as an option that you can select in your phone settings. And finally, you can turn on or off notifications for the HearingFitness™ feature according to your preference. *Only available with Oticon Intent™
