The only exception is the Urgent Low Alarm, which you can’t turn off. The Always Sound** setting, which is on by default, allows you to receive certain Dexcom CGM Alerts even if your phone sound is off, set to vibrate, or in Do Not Disturb mode. This allows you to silence calls or texts but still receive audible CGM Alarm and Alerts, including the Urgent Low Alarm, Low and High Glucose alerts, Urgent Low Soon Alert**, and Rise and Fall Rate alerts**. A Home screen icon shows you if your Alerts will sound or not. For safety, the Urgent Low Alarm and three alerts can’t be silenced: Transmitter Failed, Sensor Failed, and App Stopped. Too small to read on Apple Watch now
This had been an incredible app to use through my Apple Watch. I could see my blood sugar with a quick glance at my wrist. But something happened with a recent update. The text size for the Dexcom G6 complication is super small all of a sudden. It’s unreadable for me. I’ve contacted Dexcom, and they sent me to Apple. I also contacted Apple and they sent me to Dexcom. Awesome.

Just updated the app and received a notice that enabling alerts is required to use the app. I disabled the notifications when the phone is silenced because it started alarming loudly during a theater performance when the app lost communication with the sensor. This requirement is unacceptable.

I calibrate sometime 2-3 times a day as it is off by sometimes 30pts from my finger stick monitor… pretty unreliable when I’m needing to monitor my levels for diabetes.

The app does what it’s supposed to - replace the Dexcom receiver. Please consider some tweaks to the app: 1. Alerts occur when below the “low” threshold as expected. Add the option to turn beeps off if below the “low” threshold AND RISING. It’s incredibly annoying having addressed the low and then being told/reminded that your BG is low. 2. When an alert goes to the Apple Watch companion app, dismissing or acknowledging that alert doesn’t make the repeating alert stop - it still has to be acknowledged on the phone app. Not helpful if you’re performing an activity where your phone is safely stashed away & you have to stop, get to your phone & acknowledge a non-life-threatening event.
