USING YOUR APP AND READER WITH THE SAME SENSOR
If you would like to use both the FreeStyle Libre Reader and the App with the same Sensor, you need to start the Sensor with the Reader first and then scan with your phone. Note that FreeStyle LibreLink and Readers do not share data with each other. For complete information on a device, scan your Sensor every 8 hours with that device; otherwise, your reports will not include all your data. You can upload and view data from all of your devices on LibreView.com.

APP INFORMATION
FreeStyle LibreLink is intended for measuring glucose levels in people with diabetes when used with a Sensor. For more information on how to use FreeStyle LibreLink, refer to the User’s Manual, which can be accessed through the app. If you require a printed User’s Manual, contact Abbott Diabetes Care Customer Support.

[1] If you are using the FreeStyle LibreLink app, you must also have access to a blood glucose monitoring system as the App does not provide one. Fingersticks are required for treatment decisions when you see the Check Blood Glucose symbol, when symptoms do not match system readings, when you suspect readings may be inaccurate, or when you experience symptoms that may be due to high or low blood glucose.

Works very well

I have been using this app with the libre 2 sensors for a few years now. I think the both work very well. I like the convenience of not having to stick my fingers constantly. You do still need to verify the sensor is accurate from time to time but you at better the several times a day. You do get an inaccurate sensor or a faulty one from time to time. I have saved the box and faulty sensor then I called customer service, they sent me a box with replacement sensors and instructions on returning the faulty sensors. They were super easy to work with and very polite. I would absolutely recommend this product and app over the competitors. I’ve tried them and ended up happy with the one.

Error message stating sensor not compatible

I’m using the FreeStyle Libre 3. When I scan the sensor the app tells me the sensor is not compatible. When I tap to “Learn More” it gives me a list of compatible sensors and my sensor is on it. My iOS and app version are up to date.

App freezes and non responsive a lot

I was trialed a Libre 3 and that worked great. But my Kroger substituted the Libre 14 day (old version 1) this app that comes with it is a night mare. Buttons periodically do not respond. The app will change previous value. Values will bounce around. Freezes. There is a version 2 and now 3 each with different apps. The developers should either fix the version 1 or stop selling it

Still Working Well - Updated

Second Update: I have more than 65 sensors of experience. In all that time, I have had 2 sensors get knocked off and 1 sensor I removed because it hurt. I think this sensor did not insert correctly. These sensors and the app is just part of my life now and is invaluable. My only issue is getting the sensors. Often refills are delayed 5 to 10 days because out of stock which means going without a sensor for days. It’s not clear if this is a manufacture or Walgreens pharmacy issue. Still only average rating. Can’t get data downloads for personal use without also giving away privacy rights on the data at the same time, and there is no integration with Apple’s health app or any 3rd party app. Update. Been using it for a while. Overall works well. I have two sensors out of 25 fall off from sweat or being scraped off the arm by a door way. Still fairly happy. Down grading to 3 stars from 4. Just average. Privacy statement keeps changing and for US users there continues to be no data privacy. The manufacture uses your collected data from the device any way it wants and does not readily explain what data is collected in a useful manner. Original Post: I read hundreds of the recent reviews which gave me great concern and pause. First week of use was a different and more positive experience for me. Setup and First Use: Setup easier than instructions make you think. Accuracy - Good Enough after First Day: First read required an hour startup. It said an hour before first read and it took an hour. First read much higher than blood test - much more than could be explained by difference in test type. Each read in first day recommend a blood test. After the first day, results seemed to be close enough going on seven days. A sudden drop or increase came with suggestion for blood test. In my case, there was no need. I expected the sudden big swing so sensor was actually working. Trend arrows as to rising, steady and dropping are wrong. My glucose went up over 40 points in 90 minutes. Three separate readings 20 minutes apart all said the level was a steady trend even though the numbers were measurably higher than the previous read. App and Data Usefulness - Rudimentary: The app, data and charts are basic. This is not a “smart” or advance app. It is a meter with basic collection and graphs. Do you want to track cause and effect? Take a reading just before eating, exercising, or some event and then add comment. You can’t add a comment after the fact without a reading. You can go back and add a comment later but you must have taken a reading. Then you can take another reading later and add a comment to mark where the trend is. That is about it without downloading data from online account. Data Analysis and Download - A Bit of Work: Analysis is not available in at least the first two weeks. When it is available, it is not much. However you can do your own analysis if you can do spreadsheets. Downloading data is possible only through online. It is a data file with readings every 15 minutes. There will also be separate row entries for each of the comments (including carbs entered). If you are a spreadsheet person, then you will find most what you need to go to town in personal analysis. Reliability - Still On and Getting Readings: First sensor is staying on and giving readings. I have to remind myself the sensor is there during showering to keep from knocking it off. Privacy - NONE: There is more than 35,000 words on terms and privacy. Bottom line, there is no privacy. Abbott is going to share your data. (Yes, I read every word.) Even when terms talks privacy, the terms then creates a privacy loophole in every case if you live in the US. Note, starting the mobile app automatically creates an online account. You have to login online through a web page to delete the account. Deleting the account is the only way to control privacy. You loose download without an account. Privacy statement seems to imply Abbott will still collect data from the mobile device regardless of active online account. Integration - NONE: There is no direct 3rd party integration. This is actually due to Abbott wanting to use and share data. Integration with Apple would require stronger privacy controls Abbott does not want to do.

App needs work

The developers seem to be lazy and not updating the app to all the IOS updates, lots of issue now with failed scans all the time and delays. To get one scan I have to try it 4-5 times to finally work. All the other times just get errors to try it again. Initially all was good but as IOS gets updated the app seems to be less responsive.
