IDShield offers identity protection and monitoring to protect members from identity theft and fraud. Your IDShield membership can be easily viewed and updated through the IDShield app. To use this app, you must already be a member.

The IDShield mobile app includes these features:

I can no longer log into the app

I used to get monthly updates, easy access through the app, but now it just sits and spins and they’re website is useless unless you are trying to give them money

ID Shield keeps deleting my information

This is the second time my information has been deleted. I wrote a review on January 16th saying the same thing. What the heck is your service exactly? I notified my company’s HR department and also emailed ID Shield’s member services. I am ready for a Class action lawsuit. ARAG is way more reliable. They take monitoring your information seriously.

Something’s changed

This is the only option available as a work benefit. Whatever update they made since last year has made it harder to navigate. The only real thing they want you to see is your credit score. It’s right there when you log in at the top in huge bold letters with a large grapes. Absolutely useless information in regard to my motitered information. I would rather see a big message saying NO ALERTS or a giant number in red when there is one. Also, upon renewal, all of my information was wiped clean and I had to reenter all my data. Will let my company know and hopefully we can get something else.

Can’t use anymore

Ever since the redesign earlier this year, which the only sent one passing email about with scant instructions on how to sign up, I cannot access the app anymore because I used my personal email to sign up for IDShield. Now that it all links back to LegalShield, which is a benefit offered through my employer, I’m told I’m not a member upon logging in. Unfortunately, I have another year or so before open enrollment at work again, but if nothing changes, then you can rest assured I will cancel the service and stop wasting my money.

Terrible Redesign

I’ve been a customer for several years. Up until recently I was quite pleased with the service and app/website. It was easy to navigate and understand. But, then they decided to burn the house down (that’s how I see it). In doing so, they took nothing from the old house (ie. everything I had them monitoring) and seemed to have used someone with no app design experience to create this new version. Let’s start with the fact that there was NO communication to customers (a heads up) that this overhaul was coming and no information/instructions on how we were going to have to sign in, in a new way. Suddenly a new app and website were just out there and I could not get into either with the poor instructions that were provided on the login screen, and then I had to remember to call durning the workday for assistance since they don’t provide 24hr customer service for technical issues. Then when I finally did speak with someone I’m told I have to re-enter all the stuff I had them monitoring because, like I mentioned earlier, they burned the house down and couldn’t be bothered to move things from one platform to the other. If I recall correctly the person I spoke with said it was all still sitting in the old platform, so yeah, I’m feeling real confident in their ability to protect my info and identity after this fiasco. The new app and website both present a terrible design that’s not easy to navigate and a poor presentation of what’s there compared to the previous platform. As this is paid for via my work benefits, I’m suddenly receiving notifications via my work email (where I do not want to get them) instead of my personal email, which is where I received them before. I’ve reviewed my communication preferences more times than I can count to try to change this, but haven’t had any luck. Also, I used to get notifications and badges on my iPhone but that’s disappeared too, even though they’re still enabled. For the life of me, I can’t understand how anyone would have given this redesign their approval. It’s horrible and I so wish I could go back to the previous design/version. If this is all still terrible when benefits sign up rolls around again, I’ll be cancelling and finding another service to monitor my identity.

App is buggy

App doesn't work. Gets stuck in the "logging you in" page and doesn't give you the ability to input your 2 factor authentication code.

They change way too often

I think they changed stuff 3 times since I used them. It go so annoying I dropped them. The changed the URL where you had to “resign up” to have your data moved over. Then just recently, I had to do all this stuff to get into my account again due to changes. The app isn’t smooth or easy to use at all.
