Just Doesn’t Connect
I followed the directions multiple times and even watched a couple of YouTube videos. The unit simply will not connect to the app. Toyota really needs to work on this one.
Does not work
I too bought a Toyota and this dash cam app does not work at all. I have never been able to view any video footage and the dealership has not been able to help at all.
8 months since updating? Come in Toyota
Got the dash cam in my new Tacoma and the dash cam itself is awesome the app is horrible. Come on Toyota, this app is not up to Toyota standards. It is so difficult to connect to. 8 months since an update? Not acceptable!
Very very very slow
Preview takes forever. Live preview never worked…
Better off buying different brand!
Title says it all. You’re way better off buying your own DashCam system. I have a ‘24 TRD Pro that came with the Toyota Dashcam so I have no need for a new camera. Toyota dash Cam quality isn’t that bad. But the amount you pay, you can get way better. 1 star? The app itself is TERRIBLE. It takes literally like 10 minutes, if not more just to download a 2 minute clip. Not only that…but the app itself is just SO LAGGY. Click one button, it takes like literally 10 seconds just to open. Also, when your downloading a clip, sometimes the Toyota dash cam will disconnect - having to restart the whole process just trying to get clips. Seriously, you’re way better off buying your own dashcam at Best Buy. The user-face is so much more compatible. You would think a multi billion dollar company would have a way better reliable app! Seriously not joking. Learn from your sister company!!! This is coming from a Toyota and Lexus owner !!!! Please do something!!!!!!!!!!
There is no Wi-Fi button
At set up it asks you to push the Wi-Fi button. Only problem is there is no WiFi button and the manual shows a completely different model that what I have installed on my 2023 4Runner pro.
Terrible! Doesn’t work
What is this thing? Doesn’t work. Bought a 2024 Tundra TRD Pro yesterday and included the dash cam. Can’t get it to work. Piece of junk!
