Battery Drainer
The app is always running in the background.
Horrible app
Takes forever to load, terrible ui that looks like a website, and so so so buggy as to be unusable.
OK… room for improvement
The app in its current state is sufficient at best. As one other reviewer put it, it becomes an endless battle of refreshing the status screen, then the Home Screen, then back to the status screen, then back to the Home Screen just to get this app to update the battery percentage on the main page. In the beginning, it would also show me the current odometer mileage… that worked till about 3500 miles… now it just shows three ellipses after the “Mileage” title. Not sure why, it has less than 5k miles on it, so no extra digit yet. The first year of Solterra Connect is free… unless substantial functionality improvements I probably won’t pay for this. The car is great, with some quirks, but I still enjoy it daily. The app however, hard pass as it stands in the current state.
Sometimes works, sometimes doesn’t
Pretty frustrating. Sometimes the app will work for a day, you can just walk up to you far and it recognizes that you have a key and voila. Today was not that day. Each time I would have to fiddle w the app and eventually it would unlock the car or let me start it. Don’t bother calling customer service - not helpful either
punishing app from an otherwise dependable brand
I missed work all day yesterday because my charger had had an error after initially being confirmed plugged in outside of schedule; this app reported nothing even when I had checked in. app must be refreshed a random number of times before timely data is loaded. in some cases one screen reports "charging" while the other reports "plugged in." there is no data on Kwh or even to-the-minute charge start and stop times, so if you are try to divide up an electric bill based on usage forget about it unless you can get this data from your charger. compared to apps from other EVs this one is a dog and Subaru has the temerity to charge a fee for using this app after 12 months. i hope they fix the frigging thing because I can't live without it's limited functionality which is delivering pain daily; paying for it is going to add insult to injury.
15% of the time it works 100% of the time!
Great when it works but it takes 2-4 refreshes to just get an updated battery charge status. And as of now, I can’t get the updated status at all! So yeah, not a great app.
Do people really pay for this app?
It’s ok when it works…which is about 15% of the time. But there is no way I’ll use this app once the trial ends if it doesn’t improve.
