Pointless app
If you are a spectrum mobile customer and wish to see your balance then you’re gonna have to download and use the my spectrum app because the only function this app allows is to login then ask you to either download or switch to the my spectrum app so it won’t actually allow you to see anything of your account, only acts as a redirect to another app. Also they do nothing besides advertise the $29.99 a line in store, no exaggeration when I say they have stickers thoroughly around the store advertising “$29.99 a line for 2 or more lines” but I tried to switch from the $45 a month per line to $29.99 per line but in store they say to call customer service to get it and otp they say to ask the people in store for the reduced cost and each time they say the same thing that it’s the same service at a reduced cost but some old customers can get it yet not me, I don’t know which privileges you have to have to get it but I’m very disappointed. Also not an app issue yet a institution issue I went in store to get in upgrade for my phone but they couldn’t process the action and told me “either come back tomorrow or order it online in store” at a higher rate than actually advertised online and refused the discounts advertised online (for commission purposes I presume) and would disregard the discounts I pointed out and yet still couldn’t process the transaction with the phone, SIM card, drivers license, and debit card yet when I get home and get access to my account I can order the phone and have it shipped to my house in 2 days? Not very logical in sense and wish I could just go in store show them my order confirmation and get the phone in store and cancel the shipment but that would be too simplified I suppose.

Spectrum, let’s get on target. We download the app, it tells us to parse our account in yet another app, and how does this assist? Download the app, test it, see how it fails. Don’t have your IT guys do it. Do it… YOURSELVES. Be a customer of your own services.

I paid my phone off and switched to a different phone company I’ve had nothing but problems with them, I was told once my phone was paid off it would be unlocked but yet it’s been 4 months and nothing I have to buy a new phone because of them they literally make it to were you can only use their Service with the phones you get from them TRASH ! If I could they would get no stars I’ve had nothing but problems with them since I got a phone with them they don’t tell you their going to take 100+ more from you even when you pay it off so I would not recommend this company at all !

What is the point of having a spectrum mobile app when you are either redirected to 1. The web based service or 2. The my spectrum app? I was told that the services are kept separate between apps and that I would need to use the spectrum mobile app to view/change anything associated with my cell service plans. However, every time I go and log in which is a massive pain…. It redirects me to the My Spectrum app. You can’t see or do anything there as it is… This needs to change… and badly… but looking and seeing reviews for the last two years saying this, leaves me with no hope at all.

Keeping the 2 Apps separate was a great idea. Putting them together is not a good idea. I have had to sign in 5x and still can’t access my Spectrum mobile phone account. I need to pay my past due bill before you cut my services. Yet, there’s NO way to pay it!! Help me, because your support can’t figure it out!!

App sends user to browser to sign in and pass captcha check… captcha is not present. Invalidates any usefulness if end user can’t log into app. FAIL! Needs to be addressed & sorted.
