VIRTUAL TAP CARD BRICKED
Well, my TAP Card doesn’t work anymore after upgrading the phone. Is there a way to unbrick the digital TAP Card without contacting LA Metro? I heard you must pay $5 to get your passes and stored value back.

App rarely works correctly. TAP system is a mess after being docked for two fares for one trip. Metro needs to fire the fare card contractor. I have ended up with a variety of TAP cards thanks to the system malfunctioning and Metro wants to charge a fee to get my money onto my regular everyday TAP card.

Just tried to load $5 onto my card—it took my money from my account but it didn’t loas to my balance. This app is so frustratingly useless. Why develop an app you won’t maintain?

Whenever I try to reload my TAP card, the app doesn’t load, so what I’ll do is exit the fare type menu and hope that the app loads. Very frustrating to use this app when you’re in a hurry.

I almost always get a try again error when tapping with my phone using this app. All the settings are correct and it occasionally works, but 80% of the time doesn’t. Phone locked, unlocked, doesn’t matter.

It won’t let me add the card to my wallet. It keeps telling me to use up the value that it has, but I have a student card that gives FREE rides. How am I supposed to use up the value the value when I don’t even have to pay for anything?????

A bit confusing to setup. It took time for the added stored value to update if done from the app. It’s faster if done from Apple wallet. To use your iPhone as a Tap device, you’ll need to transfer your Tap card from the app to Apple Wallet.
