Needs NFC and/or Apple Pay
The QR code is really difficult to scan, Making the virtual card part of the app nearly pointless. I know the cards are NFC and so are the readers. Why can we not use that. Or better yet put the card in Apple Pay like LA county does with TAP. In it’s current state this yet another app that I can’t rely on to allow my phone to replace my wallet it’s a real bummer that a decade after Apple Pay/wallet was introduced there are still companies trying to replace wallet cards in their own way instead of just directly integrating with the native digital wallet.
No Notice
I signed up for notice of issues & did not receive any notice of bluff collapse on rail road from solana beach to San Diego depot
Works ok
Good app. Saves me time and effort on obtaining physical card (useless for out of town visitor) or fumbling with cash. 1 star off for poor QR code implementation, it does not auto brighten up in the app and neither you can add it to Apple Wallet. It allows you to save to your photos app, but it’s poor low effort gimmick. How about implementing Apple Pay / Google Pay and even allow credit cards to pay for transit but give discount incentive to riders who use virtual Apple Pay/Google Pay that can utilize RFID just like Clipper Card in San Francisco or Ventra (Chicago CTA/Pace)
No refunding
Robbery! How do you not refund the money i loaded and didn’t use. In this economy i can understand a charge for the refund but for me to not have any access to the funds that are now just going to sit there because i thought id try something new out of town.
Apple Pay
Thid thing says it supports Apple Wallet, I see no evidence of that. I could not click apple Pay to add funds? Really?
Needs improvement
The only functioning thing about the pronto pass is adding monthly pass. There is no option to add the daily pass that is only available at the bus stations machine. I have to walk or drive more than a mile to add the daily 6.00 pass. It used to be offered on the bus and now you have to pay 2.50 to be able to pay an additional 6.00 just to ride on the bus like??? It doesn’t make sense to a person riding but I guess it does for those who operate the app they don’t have to walk more than a mile just to load the pass ?? Logistically makes no sense !
App Isn’t Working
None of the routes or schedules are showing up. The only thing working is loading money.
