The app is so bad that I won’t buy another Sony camera.
Connection is always a nightmare. Sending photos to your phone has an “unknown error occurred” message every single time you try after 1 or 2 photos send. This app and these cameras have been around too long to be this awful.
Transfers original res but cannot download original res
This app is so pointless. I can import original res photos from my rx100vii. But when you want to download the photos from the app to your phone it will downsize the photos for whatever reason. What is the point in allowing original res import from the camera when you can't download them in original res onto your mobile device lol. What a joke.
Not Compatible
My Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W810 does not work with this app.
Trash
This app is actually useless and it’s been that way for years now. How has Sony not improved this app when other companies with less budget has ? At this point it’s on purpose.
Disappointing
This app is not working at all
I should have looked at the reviews before I bought Sony
I bought the DSC RX10ivM and one of the features that I was excited about was the remote control. Well…. All I can say is this is one of the worst apps I have ever worked with. I am astounded that Sony hasn’t done anything about this. I can’t figure out how to use blue tooth because that goes via the now discontinued Play Memories app. I also find it interesting that Sony has done only one software revision on the RX4. I think that shows that Sony really pays no attention to software development. Generally, the firmware on the camera is fabulous. But the ancillary apps are pure garbage.
Doesn’t work
It doesn’t connect with my cameras wifi, other apps do. So pointless…
- Fixed an issue where the message "Please turn on Bluetooth" was displayed even though iPhone's Bluetooth was on. - Fixed an issue where images could not be transferred from the camera even if there was free space on the iPhone's storage. - Improved the issue where the app would terminate abnormally in rare cases.
