This app for iPhone and iPad will give you an unprecedented level of command and control over your 2014 or later model year network ready Denon AV Receivers (due to hardware differences, older models are not supported with this app. Please check the model compatibility list below; if your model is not listed, please download our previous “Denon Remote App”). Along with many new features, the graphics and user interface have been completely overhauled. Control the basic functions of your Denon product with power, volume, input and settings. Network browsing is either done within the Denon AVR Remote app or depending on model by selecting HEOS network as input which opens the HEOS app automatically. With the Denon AVR Remote, your iOS device just became an integral part of your home entertainment experience. Current version works great.
This app is a must in my situation. My receiver is in the basement on a rack, and my speakers are upstairs in a great room. I also have two different Denon receivers and this app allows me to switch back-and-forth to choose the receiver I wish to control remotely. I can access receiver functions as well as playback streaming media, etc. using this app. There is a bit of a learning curve, but it works well. I had contacted Denon directly and this was the Remote app Denon recommended.
Pretty good!
If your WiFi is on the same frequency both phone AVR and tv…. Works perfectly for me.
still not working
Still cannot connect to my S760H even after the update. Bug fixes? No kidding! Really poor support..
Total Failure
This piece of software is not working anymore. What did you do ? Fix it !!
Dirac control menu missing
The one thing I wanted to do from the app was change the Dirac live preset in use… and there is no Dirac option in the audio menu. Major oversight, or..?
Used to work well enough, now useless
I’ve been using this app for years with my 3600, but it no longer works. Nothing changed on my end, so it’s clear that the last upgrade is to blame. I have a 10+ year old Yamaha receiver in another room that I can still connect to with the Yamaha app, so it is possible to not break mobile apps with aging equipment. I’ll hang onto the app for a few more weeks to see if it gets fixed or else it’s getting deleted, and my next receiver will not be in the Denon family.
Finally works!
New updated version of the app 3.10.1 finally allows user to connect and control the receiver. Totally unexpected since according to tech support just few days ago, this application is no longer supported and most likely no updates any time soon. Definitely is a nice surprise!
*Your Denon product may require a firmware update to work with this app. Please update the firmware via the system setup menu. (General > Firmware) If the App doesn't work well, please try to unplug the power cord of the main unit and reinsert into the power outlet or check your home network.
