Vehicle does not recognize owner
For multiple times of setting up Alexa to vehicle and command voice recognition. As three year old hasn’t recognized drivers voice through car settings. Comes multiple ways that Toyota, system of car and media can’t handle all of it. Toyota needs update and recall on media coverage when scout GPS no longer supporting Toyota after 30th of October 2023. Which I used least few times until it crashed, since then used google gps works fine connecting apple car play. In conclusion that Toyota does need full on google than Amazon Alexa for all vehicles. This is my second car by Toyota very disappointed.
Bag-O-Crap
My IQ seems too low to operate this app in my 2021 Toyota Tacoma TRD-Pro. I really wanted it to work since I have so many Alexa controlled devices at home. But Alexa in my truck appears to require multiple apps started/running, and can’t apparently ‘remember’ my phone to just have them work when Bluetooth connects. It’s been months since I purchased my truck and Toyota appears to have little or no interest in Amazon Alexa users as a target market. CarPlay works TERRIFIC (I’m guessing the same for Android Auto) so simply plugging my iPhone in is easily the least aggravating solution for rendering my truck ‘smart.’
Very difficult
While Alexa is a good feature to have, it only seems to connect when you’re connecting to Bluetooth. If you are connected using Apple CarPlay, Alexa will not work. I can count on a handful of times at this app has actually worked and Alexa has responded correctly.
Wont connect
It’s having a hard time connecting to my 2023 Toyota Corolla 🤦🏻♀️- my phone is already connected, yet the app keeps trying to connect- annoying 😕
Hardly ever works.
This has to be one of the worst apps ever!
Horrible app
Had trouble connecting. Finally found instructions that actually work in an app review. That review was also 1 star. Once it finally connected it kept telling me that everything I wanted to do was not supported. Maybe Toyota should try working with Google instead of Alexa.
Won’t connect
I have a 2021 RAV4 and it won’t connect.
