This company doesn’t know the difference between a savings and checking account. Make sure you have receipts of your transactions cause Bilt finance department literally cannot comprehend a savings account and checking account. I was wrongfully issued a NSF charge because they coded my account as a savings when it is a checking. I have all the receipts and they still cannot comprehend what they did wrong.

United StatesBalance unclear & autopay difficult to set up
The way the app puts your balance in, makes it hard to understand what you actually owe because they don’t put any pending transactions on your balance like some other cards do. It makes it difficult to know how much money I owe. My Apple Card gets around this by showing the total balance, but only allowing you to pay off everything that is not pending. Auto pay was really confusing to set up. For some reason Bilt can’t do it in its own app so you have to go create a Wells Fargo account and there’s almost no instructions on how to set up auto pay in that Wells Fargo portal. Many cards that are run by other issuing banks can set up auto pay on their own so I don’t understand why Bilt has this limitation.

I love this card and this app! I wasn’t sure how it worked when I was told that you could get money back by paying your rent with this card, but I got it set up and it is amazing! You earn money every time you pay your rent! I love this so much and I wish I had gotten this card years ago but better late than never!

This app and services gets forced on building residents. It would not shock me that its pitched as a free payment solution for building operators in exchange for resident information and or the sale their of. Bonus if they can get a percentage to use their credit card. Honestly tired of the appification of services. Can’t choose who holds your mortgage either. Yay for American capitalism! Oh and every now and then they'll mess up and email their entire user base that their accounts are getting cancelled for attempting to tamper with their points system. Real confidence inspiring.
