Waste of money
I paid for this for over a year and it was not worth it at all. They consider everything pre existing condition so they won’t cover basically anything. Cool idea and I like their interface but the whole point of this is to save you money and it doesn’t. They also raised my renewal rate by ~$20 per month after just the first year. I cancelled.

Lemonade just bought Metromile and then doubled my rate for basically not driving. Maybe it was because of all the accidents I had with my car parked in my garage. Wow, the app based world so efficient yet it is so much more expensive. I would be skeptical of those positive reviews… And btw, not really susceptible to PR campaigns… Yes old but not stupid yet. And then it’s “upload your details” and we will look into. That’s your idea of being responsive - you have my details. I wonder how much life your positive reviewers have lived…

Speak with a local insurance agent!!! They cancelled my home insurance for no reason, just want out of CA. I’m stuck with their awful pet insurance because I bundled that. Do not use them for anything it’s a bad company with no morals. -Brendan Mahoney

Lemonade has never processed any of my claims because of something that happened to my dog’s ear two years ago. I’ve submitted 3 claims and none accepted. Look elsewhere for pet insurance. I resent this scam insurance company so much. I live in a large dog-friendly community and have gone out of my way to let every pet owner know to stay away from Lemonade. You could imagine how happy I was when I was talking to someone, and they said they were aware of how bad Lemonade is. So word is getting out.

I’ve had Lemonade since 2019. I was a loyal customer and raved about them, even getting some friends and family to sign up with them. Eventually I ended up having to actually take out a claim for my renters insurance after a roommate stole from me when he moved out. I thought it was notable that while helpful, Lemonade not so subtly tried to guilt me into changing my mind because it was going to “take money away from causes.” A few months ago, my credit card had to be canceled and replaced. I didn’t realize it yet but it was the card used on my insurance policy. After attempting to bill me unsuccessfully, they canceled my policy. No worries, I figured I could just pay the balance and start a new one (I had moved to a new state a year ago anyway, so I was just giving them free money). Turns out the $11 that I had overdue was just too risky for them and after half a decade they’re not interested in giving me a policy any more and straight up told me to buy from someone else. What kind of company turns down indefinite business over a late bill of $11? Or is it that this is the perfect opportunity to drop someone who actually had to take out a claim? Who knows. But obviously these guys are just as money driven as any other insurance company. They just have a cooler marketing team. Thanks for the good times lemonade!

Lemonade is probably the best insurance company you can have. They service is so kind and the app is so easy to use! I needed to fix something with my renters insurance so I called lemonade… no one answered, but.. I left a voicemail of my issue. The next day I checked in again and my issue was fixed. I didn’t even have to call back they just did what I described in the voicemail. That is great service.
