Brush is good but brush tracking is not accurate
I have the genius x toothbrush and I have been using this app for a few months. One thing that really frustrates me is that the teeth tracking is not accurate because it shows that I am brushing on that side when I am brushing on the other side. One good example is when I brush my teeth everyday when I try to brush on my lower left side it shows that I am brushing on the lower right side. Another thing to complain about is how the overpressure always is sensitive because when I press down slightly too hard for a few seconds then it shows that I am brushing too hard. If the brush tracking would be fixed on the app then that would be great but I am going to have to rate it a 3/5 because I am not happy with the brush tracking being inaccurate.

The tooth brush cleans the best of any tooth brush I have ever had and I have tried quite a few what we’re supposed to be the best. I would give it 5 stars. The App is great when it is working and not to mislead it has worked most of the time but is a little buggy. I started using my toothbrush on Saturday and on Sunday it gave me a medal for starting to use my toothbrush again after not using it for a week. Since I have owned it for 2 days that is obviously wrong. I have also had the App stop in the middle of brushing and then tell me I need to brush longer. But I love watching it tell me that I have gotten each section of my mouth and I find I am brushing about 2.5 minutes now so even better.

oral hygiene shouldn’t be as fun as this!! i truly am enjoying this app because it gives such good tips and is fun to use. it’s kinda crazy that my toothbrush is being controlled by my phone! this app is also really good because it is free! it’s definitely hard to find an app that is free and has such a good quality. i would definitely recommend this ap. (and I'm 13, so that’s saying a lot!)

So, the main thing about the io series is the app. But if the app isn’t good, it affects the brush. When the app works, it works great. However, there are two big issues: First, it often gets the part you’re brushing wrong. There needs to be a way to correct the app, say tap the correct place. Second, my top middle part (front teeth), it keeps saying “increase pressure”, and I do, up until I’m practically scraping the teeth on the plastic under the bristles I’m pushing so hard, and yet still “increase pressure”… Besides these two niggles, the app works well and the gamification is a good hook to getting your oral hygiene right.

This app has to be the most frustrating app on my phone. I think the only reason I use it is for the timer. It’s so inconsistent. I will follow the guided brushing display and go along with the pressure guide, just like the directions. When I get my two minutes accomplished and click the switches for cleaning my tongue and flossing, it puts up a sad face and rates the brushing as zero. Go to the “ home” and it rates 100% and tells me “great job”. Also informs me that I’m brushing three times a day when I’m only doing it twice. I have reinstalled this app about a dozen times in five months and it only works right a couple of days and then returns to inconsistency. I don’t recall a time when I had this much frustration with my manual toothbrush.
