Puzzles not saving
For the past few weeks, any answers to puzzles don’t save if you move to another page, even if the app throws you out. Not great. Apparently this is because you need iOS 13 or later with the newest version of this app. Another app which has fallen foul of Apple’s policy of not supporting Apple’s older products.☹️

The ability to see reader’s comments and comment oneself is impossible in the iPad app, and when opening a safari browser window. Why? Despite having a message from The Times saying the issue is being looked at it is still unfixed.

Many people have said this in the review so please do something about it. When you leave any article the app immediately refreshes and takes you back to the main page so you are constantly having to find where you were. This happens every time. Please, please fix it.

New Live version on iPhone and iPad uses an excessive amount of data. This may be down to the fact that it is not removing old downloads even when I have the setting to one day. There doesn’t seem to be a way of manually removing old downloads. Disappointing, as otherwise it’s a decent app. Update from last review: Several months later and the app has not improved in the slightest on the way it uses data. Unable to delete previous editions so the amount of data used creeps up daily. Developers should be aware of this from multiple similar reviews over a long time. Not a difficult fix so I can only assume they don’t consider it a priority. I have therefore deleted the app today and will now cancel my subscription. Update at 23.4.24. Response from Developer below shows how much they care. They clearly have not even read the review - my issue is obviously not with the content, and it is not appropriate to ask me to give my thoughts to your editorial team. A developer trying to look like they are caring and taking time to respond, while proving the complete opposite.
