My Old Financial Times
I relish each word of the insightful Financial Times. Its new format is ideal for individuals constantly pressed for time, like myself. Additionally, the ability to share articles with friends enhances the experience. The app operates seamlessly, a testament to the developers' excellence. Well done to the team behind it!
Not bad
My only gripe is how difficult it is to share anything you read. FTEdit is only available on iPhone (and is required to read the share links). Not everyone has an iPhone and not everyone wants to have to download an app in order to read one 800 word essay.
Solid app, delay in fetching new stories.
I’m trying out the FT Edit because many of my friends have recommended the FT as a paper with relevant and interesting journalism. So far, I am enjoying the reporting. However, for some reason it takes far too long for the app to fetch the day’s stories, which I find frustrating. The Apple News app seems to fetch the most recent stories and will display them as published “4 hours ago” while the app will still have the stories from the previous day. If the developer can fix this I will be perfectly satisfied.
Solid writing, obnoxiously difficult to share
The writing itself tends to be on average, top notch. But the barriers the FT puts in place to sharing their writing with others is a bit irritating.
Complicated
Trying to figure it out
No App on Android
I use different devices and can’t use the app and subscription on Android. Would love to appreciate my subscription also on the bigger screen of my Android tablet but I can’t because there is no app for Android. I pay for a subscription and I expect to be able to use it on all my devices.
App upgrade is a downgrade
Overall, FT Edit is a perfect way to digest FT articles daily, however, the recent app upgrade has flaws - mainly it’s inconsistency on showing which articles are read (“completed”) and which are unread.
