Do Not Buy
I have 2 houses where I standardized on TreatLife switches. Everything was working great until an update from them. They only have email support out of China. It takes weeks and months because they don’t respond quickly. They cannot support the issues that I am finding at both houses. Ceiling Fan switches that worked before won’t work. Scheduled to turn lights on and off that worked before don’t work now. These are expensive and to have no support is atrocious. I am disgusted with the response and how much I have invested in switches that now I must buy something else. Save yourself the time, effort and frustration and buy a different product.
One user only and other dumb things…
I set it up on my phone but when a family member sets it up it removes me. And back and forth. Only one persons can control switches. Also I can’t access all features unless I fill in the “complete the account” section. A blank field says “enter the account” but doesn’t give me a clue what that means. Is it a phone number, do I make something up, is it my dog’s name? I clicked on FAQ for an answer but guess what…? It blocks me from the FAQs until I finish the “complete the account” section! I shouldn’t have to Google what the Account means in order to get into their FAQ section to find out what the Account means. Dumbfounding.
Terrible app and device
The UI/UX developers changed the app to where you now have to go through multiple stages to control the fan. Bringing this up to their support for several months has yield chronic complacency. The device keeps defaulting to lowest light setting and have fallen and risk fallen nearly every day. I wished I could replace this garbage! A legal team is involved on collecting the complaints and the duration of the developer continuing lack of knowledge and action to fix the risky problems.
Failed to control with Alexa
Every time we are trying to use Alexa the light turn on itself and now I can’t use them nor add the new light bulb in!! Fix the application!
Needs Option to Save Wifi Info
Using this App to control color-changing smart lights in my home. I love the UI and the options for the bulbs, but I’m surprised there’s no option to save login info for my home’s wifi. The bulbs will often reset themselves on accident and start blinking. Having to re-enter my wifi info makes for a longer process of resetting them and stopping them from strobing.
App is trash
This app and these bulbs are 100% garbage. I’ve had them a year now, 6 across 2 rooms and they never all work. I’m over it. The app is useless, and there is no customer support anywhere to be found. I guess if you like the game whack-a-mole, but with lights, then this is your vibe. 0 stars
