Great App
This app works perfectly as do the opening devices and SmartBridge. It is easy to set up and once done you can just forget about it. Perfect!
Glitchy does not work, multiple button failures
App is not working - buttons are stuck, cannot go back in the setup guide. Multiple buttons not clickable.
App is buggy, always have to recalibrate shades and reset schedules
The app is very buggy, you have to recalibrate my shades every month, as the batteries get low the schedules quit working too.
This app is janky and cheap
This is probably a react native application, judging from the UI responsiveness. I have my entire home setup with Ryse, and I'm shocked for how much if spent how poorly the app works, and the automations with homekit are busted. Many times during activation one blind will just decide not to move.
Product… works, mostly. Software is awful
Integration with Alexa doesn’t work. Stopped trying after connecting tech support half a dozen times. The Bluetooth app is just terrible. Honestly one of the worst apps I’ve ever had the misfortune to be forced to use on a daily basis. Needs to be totally redesigned.
Waste
Bought two of them and one worked for two days then quit the other never worked at all. And no customer service at all
Home Kit works better
[v2.0.19 status: Practically none of the below, written a year ago, have been addressed - incredible.] The automation only allows for time-based programming – Apple’s Home Kit at least offers the – in the context of sun shades obviously needed – sunrise/sunset-based options. One could even try to be really smart and open/close the shades based on reported local weather. The automatic shade status refresh upon opening the app was finally working in a previous update, but the problem crept back in - I just had to manually refresh the shade status after opening the app.
