This app allows you to pay for laundry cycles from your account by using Bluetooth to communicate with the washer or dryer. Simply use Hercules CP Mobile to purchase credit right from the app, then use that credit for your laundry. A full accounting is available to see your transaction purchase history. • Scan the QR code of your laundry room (one time process) • Start laundry machines via Bluetooth by scanning QR code on the machine • Check your card/account balance, and add value to your account for laundry. For participating laundry rooms, you can view machine availability as well as receive alerts when your laundry cycle is complete.

I like using the app for washing clothes. Its convenient and doesn’t require me to keep up with a laundry card or cash. However, I do feel the cost to wash and dry clothes could be cheaper.

I just moved into an apartment complex that uses Hercules for laundry, and I’ve used the app for laundry a couple of times now. My impression is that the developers of this app didn’t consider the users to the extent that they could have. First, laundry in buildings are usually located in areas where wifi or cell service is sparse or unavailable such as basements. You need to have wifi to create an account, log in, load money, and pay for your machine. This is the biggest issue for me, that you cannot operate the app offline. There are ways to design an application to take that into account, and I hope they do so in the future. My other piece of feedback is that the QR code system is so out of pocket. For the most part you have the option of scanning a QR code or typing a two digit number to select your machine. Typing the number is infinitely easier. If scanning the QR code would automatically pull up the app on your phone and pay for the machine, that would be so much more convenient. Lastly, I honestly don’t really care to have an app that much. If the machinery supported contactless payment methods such as Apple Pay, and I didn’t have to open up an app, I would much prefer that. If that’s not going to change anytime soon, I would love to see Apple Pay integrated into the app.
