Does not work!!!!
Even after you connect to store wifi and set your precise location and permissions, scan it does not work. Disappointing for sure. It did work in the past but after some the big app update that a store employee told me of nothing works now.
Ahold competing for world’s crappiest app!
You have to try very very hard to develop an app this crappy. Has anyone at Ahold actually tried to log in to their Scan It Wallet? It simply cannot be done. I enter my username and password. App: Wrong password (even though it’s right) I Submit lost password request. Ahold emails reset instructions. I enter new password. App: All set. Log in to your wallet. I try to log in App: User Account does not exist This has been going on for more than a year. What the f^#%* are you guys doing when you update the app?

Great idea. Terrible execution.
The app constantly has issue. When it works it’s great. I Love using my phone to scan items and being able to checkout and pay right on the app. The problems is there are issues 90% of the time. The app regularly closes in mid use. If I try to click the coupons tab, the app just closes. When I am able to load coupons they are not applied so I have ti go to customer service afterwards to get reimbursed. Again love the idea but the app is very glitchy and not very user friendly
Garbage
Says go to customer service desk to sync. They have no idea what to do. No in store scanners to use either. Big y has past you guys in the tech dept.
Version 23
Won’t connect at all. Tried several different stores. All have the same problem.
Has become unreliable
Versions before 23.30 have become increasingly unstable and unreliable. The app crashed during a shopping session and couldn’t restore the session after the crash - necessitating having to have all items scanned again at checkout. The app also has issues with more than one of the same item - in particular, beverages. The number of items in the cart is wrong and it’s impossible to delete and rescan to get the correct number. I’ve had to resort to the handheld in-store scanners. Hopefully these major defects will be fixed in the new version but if past experiences with the quality of this app are any indication, I’m not holding my breath.
