A strong dislike for the electronic coupon system
So I know probably have an unnecessary dislike for Fry’s electronic coupon system but every time I go to Fry’s I tell myself not to get frustrated at this app and have such a hard time maintaining self control, haha. If I could talk to corporate and tell them how much this app frustrates me I would. It turns the shopping experience into an annoyance and honestly makes me not want to shop there. I don’t like that we have to use our phones in order to get the discount prices. There have been so many times the WiFi service is horrible in the store, I can’t get the app to work, there’s a group of us standing around all trying to get the code to work. I ask for help probably about every 3 times and usually they say it somehow was already clipped, only to find out when I check out that it wasn’t (which I only realize by reviewing my purchases/discounts) and I need help again to have them manually input the discount price. They say they use this system to track our shopping but can’t Fry’s track our shopping through scanning our card at checkout??? I really really don’t like that I have to have my phone to go shopping.

The app offers coupons that don’t work. I had an offer to get free shipping with a coupon but even after clipping it I still had to pay full price for it. It also makes no sense that certain items aren’t included at certain times. How does it work that the item is unavailable at 1 but at 1:30 it’s suddenly available? Makes no sense to me and the app is poorly designed. Also why is it that you need to book your order 4 hours in advance? It would also be helpful to provide where each item is located at the store…

I find the Fry’s app very difficult to see and to find things. Coupons need to be organized by category instead of so randomly. The print is small. The weekly ad is nearly impossible to read on both my tablet and my phone and sometimes print appears on top of another print. I would shop at fries a lot more but because I shop by sales and coupons, I just give up because I can’t figure out what the sales art fries. I know you can do a better job because I have apps for two of your competitors and their apps are much easier to read and navigate.

Just downloaded the app and the first attempt to place an order failed miserably. Upon checkout, the app prompts you to enter your zip code, and responds with a list of stores in that area. Upon selecting a store from the list, the prompt to enter a zip code reappears, and the cycle starts all over again. So disappointed.

I’ve been using fry’s app for a few years, never had a problem. Today I opened it so I could let fry’s know I was coming to pick up my groceries and the app required I allow my precise location. No thanks. Dear Fry’s, my location is none of your business. Please go back to allowing me to say how many minutes away I am. Not sure if this is a glitch or a new update but it needs to be fixed.

Albertsons has a way better app department than the high school drop outs who made this one…. Hire some people who know what they’re doing. Pro tip: stop telling people to uninstall the app and reinstall it, that doesn’t change the layout and workings of the app!
