App will not allow you to set up
Just put in a split level for FuJitsu system with Wi-Fi. This app does not allow to continue to set up for Wi-Fi access. I am able to access the units Wi-Fi, however, the app doesn’t recognize that it’s set up to the units Wi-Fi and will not connect to my router. Useless app.. please fix this.
Incredible ease of use and control
I can now control the temperature and fan speed for my mini split from both my iPads and my iPhone, and am completely delighted. from upstairs, I can turn down the heat for the whole house at night or warm it up in the morning. Thank you Fujitsu!
Abandonware — use “Airstage Mobile” app
This app no longer allows new units to be registered via iOS. After a lengthy process to engage Fujitsu tech support, I was told this app has been retired and replaced with a newer app called “Airstage Mobile.”
LG is terrible and so is this app
Nothing but problems with LG mini splits. This app also lives up to LG “quality” - not connecting when internet signal strong (and everything else on network functioning fine), no customer service contacts, and doesn’t heat/cool near the square footage they say they are rated for. Stay. Away. From. This. South Korean Garbage.
It works
Configuration is not very straightforward (ie how to add air conditioners to the app), but once done the app works well. It is quick to respond and errors are logged and I am notified in real time. Temp, mode and on/ off work well and too are instantaneous. The only gripe I have is that the app is depreciated in leu of the new app- Fujitsu AIRSTAGE (I have Airstages). It would be nice to offer an import function so devices in FGLair are easily imported into the AIRSTAGE app. This is not the case. To use the AIRSTAGE app I need to add my air conditioners one at a time by taking a photo of the QR code on the wifi modules. Some of my wifi adapters are not easily accessible (they are buried in the insulation in the attic). I am not doing that. Fujitsu- please offer an import function to move FGLair devices into the AIRSTAGE app. Thank you
Disappointed
This is a surprisingly meager offering from Fujitsu. The app needs to be updated. Having said that, it does work. I can turn on and off my unit remotely, though that is certainly a minimum requirement and level of confidence is low. It doesn’t interface at all with the physical remotes, so what you see one place may not be accurate. There haven’t been any upgrades in years and it shows.
Nightmare to configure on IOS 16.5
Just installed this May 30 2023. The process for registering newly installed UTY-TFSXW1 Wi-Fi modules for newly installed ASYG12KMCC and ASYG09KMCC units is a nightmare due to a combination of errors in the documentation and bugs in the app. The documentation regarding the button presses on the remote control for initialization of the Wi-Fi module just seems wrong, pressing the indicated buttons never resulted in the display on the remote showing what the doc said it should. But I noticed that the orange Wi-Fi indicator on the module was blinking and the module was broadcasting the Wi-Fi network it was supposed to so I just skipped to the part about switching to that network in the iOS settings. Connecting to the module’s network causes an error pop up which prevents you from choosing your actual network from the list of available Wi-Fi networks. The doc says to just press ok but when you do so the app disappears and you can no longer choose your network. After a lot of very frustrating attempts to redo the registration steps I discovered that by switching to the iOS settings app, doing nothing and then switching back to the FGLair app seems to be a workaround to get the app to show the list of available Wi-Fi networks and this allowed me to choose the network and continue. When you finally get to the point where the app is initializing the AC unit it takes FOREVER and the whole time you are certain that it is hung but eventually it FINALLY completes. The good news is that once registered the app seems to control the AC unit very responsively. I had 4 of these to do, 2 down and 2 to go. Fantasizing about cruel and unusual punishment for whoever allowed this stuff to ship and whoever is responsible for not updating it to work better.
