• EV charging status (available, busy, or unavailable)
• Description of EV charging station location and applicable fees
• Host or property site information

Receive Electric Vehicle Charging Status Updates
• Check the status of your EV charge. The notifications features can provide you with updates to the status of your EV charging session.  Get notifications for all statuses, including:

App crashes constantly, map search is not helpful and doesn’t load basic search prompts, and frequently get “There was a problem” error messages. Almost as if this app was designed to be frustrating.

Horrible!

Was in a serious bind in Tucson, Arizona. 2% charge left. App never sent a verification code to my email, after multiple attempts. Charging stations would also not accept my touchless payment method (despite plent of credit and money available - I tried both credit and debit), so I had to leave and gamble my EV would make it. Will NEVER trust Blink again!

Rates change once you plug in

Viewing rates on charger shows .03 cents rate but then when I plug in it shows a rate of .08. Sudden tripling in cost once you plug in is a scam. Don’t advertise 1/3 the cost then charge otherwise

Waste of time

This non-intuitive and buggy app, combined with Blink’s frequently inoperable and slow L2 chargers (you could try calling support, as I did, but eventually the hold music wears on you), do more to harm the EV cause than a legion of coal miners. Sadly no way to give negative stars.

Awful, terrible, horrible.

I received error messages on the charger after following the instructions to create an account on the app and add money to begin charging. I had to call blink to learn that this particular station was permanently disabled. The agent I spoke to bizarrely blamed the property owner for the station still being on. I have a Tesla so I rarely have to use third party, non-Tesla chargers. More often than not, there is some sort of issue. This is just the latest and greatest. Do yourselves a favor and think twice before you buy an EV that will require you to use blink or other inferior car chargers.
