Another defunct charging company
Such a shame, the app and chargers used to be so reliable and easy. Now they’re both awful. Never a working charger around and the app is super glitchy. Can’t even search properly. Results list closes as soon as you try to scroll and then the search window can’t be opened again until you force close the app.

So grateful for having public free charging stations,, although I had a charging station at my home, I decided to downgrade so I found some apartments that also had charging stations within the apartments but unfortunately they only have two and it’s a number of us who live in the apartments so I started searching around in the area from which the area that I come from. It’s several stations in my new area that I live in now it’s only a few. I’m so grateful for the free charging being that I don’t have my own anymore so just wanted to know that in the 77084 area Houston, Texas could you please please please please think about getting several more within this area do have one or two but of course it’s several hundred people that are in this area being that there’s tons of apartments around it’s more that you have to pay for than what it is for free maybe I’m asking for too much but just wanted to know could you think about it? Thanks again Val you’re awesome.

Now for whatever reason the location availability is frozen. Regardless of the time of day or whether or not any vehicle is plugged in.. the locations by me show the exact same number of taken & available stations. It’s like you’re actively trying to make the Tesla charging stations look like the optimal choice.

Volta used to be rock solid in my area until Shell bought them. Shell either bought or is managing a couple charging networks around Los Angeles and now the chargers are broken for months at a time. It’s GM buying the Red Line trolleys and running them out of business all over again.

Tried contacting Volta through email several times over a year ago about issues at several of their locations, (Feb2024) still no response. Some of their chargers are still left inoperable or without proper voltages to support a good level 2 charging experience. I’m seeing other reviews about “burnt” connectors after charging at a Volta causing serious electrical damage to their cars charge port or the adapter they are using. I have yet to see Volta reply to anyone’s concerns here or in any other forum (like PlugShare) to start addressing these issues. It’s like they’re asleep at the wheel.
