It’s easy to ensure your system is always up-to-date with the latest version directly within the app. The ability to manage and rename sources and rooms is embedded in the app settings screens too. Mike
Love my Linn equipment. However, I don’t understand why I can’t search my playlist or change the email associated w my account.
Software from the middle ages
Please please please hire an interface designer for your app
Where’d my server?
I’ve used my Akurate DS on/off (the “off” is not of my choosing) since 2007. I’ll never waste my cash on another (over priced) Linn product. The Akurate is fussy and doesn’t play well with others. The control software is a nightmare compared to the original Kinsky which was feature-rich and dependable. I use a delightful and better sounding Gold Note DS-10 streamer that is half the price of my sorry Akurate AND it’s a plug ‘n play dream to use. You can skwander your money on Linn krap if you like.
Unreliable, lots of bugs
The UI is certainly an improvement over Linn Kazoo. Unfortunately this app contains several bugs that drastically impact its usability, including one where music can play to the wrong OpenHome renderer on a network with multiple renderers! Thank goodness I haven’t deleted Kazoo from any of my devices yet. I’m reverting back to it until Linn invests the time to clean up these bugs. Linn, if you read this, please conduct some real world usage testing in a system with multiple OpenHome renders. Switch back and forth between them. You’ll find the bugs I’m talking about.
Almost perfect
Great overall for daily use, but lacks the nuance of Konfig requiring both the app on your phone plus the app for your desktop/laptop to make sure you get all the updates you need and configure analog output settings.
Once You Get It
Lots of capabilities and idiosyncrasies. Almost too many capabilities. Once I figured out how to find the paths to do what I want, the app works well.
Good solid platform
Have been using this app for about 2 years now. Control point for Minimserver with local stored music and Bubbleupnp for Qobuz on a networked computer. Using an SOTM unit as an endpoint. It has been stable and intuitive enough to navigate. Glad they keep it open for non linn product owners. The initial setup took a bit to understand as you have to switch between (local and streaming sources) under “systems” It is stable control point and thats what matters.
Stability, performance and layout improvements.
