The NHS App gives you a simple and secure way to access a range of NHS services on your smartphone or tablet. You can use the app if you are aged 13 or over. You must be registered with an NHS GP surgery in England or the Isle of Man. You can also log in through the NHS website on a computer to use NHS App services. Access NHS services ---------------------- Use the NHS App to access your NHS services, anytime and anywhere. You can request repeat prescriptions, use 111 online, find nearby NHS services and more. Depending on your GP surgery, you may also be able to book appointments and contact your surgery about a health problem. Manage your health -------------------- The NHS App gives you a convenient way to view your GP health record, including your test results. You can manage your upcoming appointments and prescription requests. You can also make choices about your health, like your organ donation decision. Receive messages ------------------- You can get important messages from your GP surgery and other NHS services through the app. Turning on notifications can alert you to new messages. Manage services for other people --------------------------------- You can switch profiles to access services for other people in the NHS App, such as a child or family member. Your GP surgery needs to give you access and you must both share the same surgery. Log in securely --------------- The NHS App will guide you through setting up an NHS login if you do not have one already. You will be asked to prove who you are. The app will then securely connect to information from your NHS services. If your iPhone or iPad supports Touch ID or Face ID, you can use it to log in, every time you use the app.
Unusable
This app is essentially unusable. First, the login process is like seven steps and twenty clicks - it could be streamlined so much. Once you do finally log in, the functionality changes seemingly every week or so. Sometimes I can make an appointment at my GP surgery online. Sometimes that option no longer exists. Sometimes the drop down only allows you to make an appt for a blood test or phone appt. Sometimes those options disappear. Sometimes I’m seemingly assigned to a GP surgery I’ve never heard of that seems to be the first in the alphabetical list of GP surgeries. The app also constantly bounces you out to other apps. So if I can’t see letters, see info on appointments, schedule appointments, send messages…I don’t know what this app is for. It is essentially useless.
Nice job NHS!
Just set this up for my 83 year old mother. Only took a few minutes to do. Wow! All her records right there - meds, test results, consultations - even pdf of the physio exercises she needs to do! Great for the elderly that may not remember details well. Thank you for a super valuable app that is integrating information across many backend systems!
Does not sync to your practice
Until September 2022, my test results and prescriptions would sync to the app but since then it will not work despite multiple deletions and reconnections. My practice says this is the fault of the app and not them
Awful
Nobody actually reads the messages you send them. No longer registered to a GP. Am in need of my medical history for my VISA - can’t gain access because my last name is not correct and hasn’t been for over 10+ years. Nobody reading emails so what’s the point? Useless app.
Cannot log in abroad
Any ideas how to get around this? Can’t log in to access my digital COVID pass. Updated all log ins and the app, can’t find any info anywhere
Accidentally bought
I would like a refund. I accidentally just bought this app thinking it was the actual app.
Ridiculous app!
This is an example of how an app should NOT be designed. Every time - even though I already have a registration - the app requires my full name, post code, date of birth, passport copy and recording of a video where I say a number. This app is a public health disaster.
