Wi-Fi went out!
Wi-Fi stoped working after 10months. Hopefully I can get replacement air filters for it.
App disfunctions
Yes, like many other posters, it doesn’t connect to your already 2.5 connection. It’s almost like it wants to make its own WiFi network connection. I’ve had product before like this and it came down to having to call the internet provider and asking them to manually make a new network by name. I am not sure how many partitioned networks you can have on any one modem but this certainly is misleading for many products. I guess manual operation is what I’ll do. However the product is a very good product. We have one on standby unopened in case one bites the big one. Hope you all can enjoy it as much as I am.
App is Crapp
Winix needs to hire an app programmer who knows how to verify credentials. After downloading, signing up and fetching verification codes twice, I get a email vs password error mismatch. Changing password does not fix error. I’m deleting app! What a waste of time!
Not too smart
Keeps disconnecting and can’t control on my phone
Can’t login and change password does not work.
This app is junk sweet the password and you can’t login even though it is correct. Returning this junk air filter tomorrow.
No IP address
There is no way to identify the IP address of their wifi enabled filters. Very strange, as every other wifi enabled device in my home will tell you its address one way or another.
Purifier works WiFi not
So the air purifier appears to be doing its job. I went through the steps as set out in the app and the documentation. The app will not connect to the air purifier. The WiFi pair light just keeps blinking like a lost robot waiting for help. If my wife stops asking about it I will completely give up on the app and let the box do its job. Not sure why we need a WiFi connected air purifier. Manual mode for me!!
