Working pretty good but a few niggles

1) How can I tell what version I’m on? 2) Please allow saving routes, it’s a pain to have to re-enter routes every time I want to go to a different one of my favorite locations, it would be a much better application that way. I sincerely hope that you aren’t waiting to put that behind a pay wall as that would be massively bad advertising for your motorcycle line, probably enough for me to just remove the tripper and put something else in that spot and just get a gps device. And badmouth you harshly where now I have been singing the Himalayan’s praise to every motorcycle rider that I encounter. Don’t do that. Update 1 year later You still can’t save routes, I have worked with Indian programmers in Pune and other places multiple times and you/they are good enough to have done this easily. WHY AREN’T YOU DOING THIS??? It doesn’t require any more hardware than you already on the smartphone. For any significant trips I now have to mount a gps which uses up handlebar space I could really use for other things. If I continually have to use an external gps then your device is just a useless irritating ornament. WHY DON’t YOU JUST DO IT???

Too much data harvesting not enough functionality

Want Royal Enfield to know where you are at all times? Where you shop, where you ride and where you live? Why would they need to know my birthday for navigation? Why do they need to track me when I’m not using the navigation tool on the bike?

App does not record ride

When asking for support there is none. When emailing they say you need to go to the nearest service center regarding the iPhone app not working properly.

Absolutely Useless

This app is a great idea on paper - but with very poor execution (poor coding?). While using the app, directions become very erratic in rural locations. It will start spinning around and then recommend u turn. Then it will reroute for no reason. Then it will sort of get back on track. But that doesn’t last very long because it will will get confused again (or 2 or 3 times) before your next turn. I’m using a iPhone 14 Pro Max….always with the most recent updates. I think the app issues may be related to traveling through areas with weak signal reception. If this is the case, it’s a shame that routes and maps cannot be downloaded prior to departure.

Updates

Please update the app so that location services doesn’t require always on. Only while using is the most efficient option. Other than that, great feature on the bike that is truly useful and appreciated.

Please allow route saving!

This app is pretty basic. The integration with Tripper works well and I like the turn by turn guidance. However, after building a complex route, I thought I’d be able to add it to the “my routes” section, but I wasn’t able to. In fact, “my routes” stays grayed out and can’t even be interacted with. I tried sending the route to myself but all that did was send me a link to the app. I tried starting the route and ending it, hoping it would give me the option to save it for future reference, but it didn’t. Whatever “my routes” is supposed to be, it’s not. In fact, it’s nothing at the moment. The app description says you can save routes but that functionality is currently non-existent. Please, PLEASE, add route saving. If you can’t, please allow for routes to be uploaded from other standardized file types. This app has potential, even as a basic navigation app. Without route saving, it’s basically the same driving directions you’d get in a car and takes away from the joy of exploring or scenic rides. I will update my review if the app adds this functionality.
