Worst app ever
One star reviews get removed often so I’m doing it this way to hopefully reach anyone looking to get a vtech camera. Don’t do it! The app rarely works. When it does work, I’ll be in the exact same place I was when it didn’t work the 10 times before. No good reason it works every now and then. You can’t fix the problem.
Great when it works, but one bug ruins it
I’ll update this review as soon as this bug is fixed, as I’m otherwise very pleased with the app. Currently with the 1.1.33 version, when attempting to use the live camera view — “Camera” in the app — it gets stuck on the blue loading page (with the bouncing ellipses) for no rhyme or reason, and no there’s nothing wrong with my internet connection. Occasionally I can close / re-open or double tap “Camera” which will open up the live video, but otherwise the loading page can get stuck for hours. I prefer to use my phone over the actual Vtech hardware because it’s more convenient, so please, please fix the iOS software!
Most recent update disconnects
With the most recent update I can no longer access or re pair my camera. Use this app loads over the last year and overall like it. I get the alerts but can’t actually access the camera it just thinks. Hoping this is resolved soon. Overall love the app until this recent issue
Night Vision
For some reason the ability to change the Night Vision status was removed from the app. Very disappointed. The light sensor on the camera is not very sensitive I can sometimes see a better quality picture with the night vision mode turned off. Now I can only change it from the tablet. Very upset. UPDATE: 04/19/2024 My app is updated to version 1.1.33 but the issue still isn’t fixed. I will update my review when the issue is resolved.

Awful since last update
The whole purpose of this app is to be able to access the cameras when you are away but every time I try to access this app I have to scan the QR code on the parent unit. Which means I cannot connect to my cameras because I’m never in the same spot as my parent unit while trying to access the app. We’ve had this camera system for a few years now and have been extremely happy until this update. I tried going through support on the app 4 days ago and have yet to hear back anything other than an automated “we got your request” response. If we can’t get the issue resolved I guess we will have to look for a new camera system.
