United StatesGreat App but Video Function is a Mess
I love this app! It is a great easy way to make my babies book and make sure I add all the important and fun info. My biggest complaint is the video function. One of the reasons I wanted to use this was the ability to embed videos onto the pages. But the function is a mess! You can’t do it at all on the webpage (computer). Only on the mobile version. And most of the time, it takes me dates to actually get videos to upload. I have to uninstall and reinstall the app several times. The videos stay upload, crash or error out the app, omit sound. The developers should really put some effort into cleaning up this function. It’s a wonderful option but it’s such a bummer it doesn’t work very well.

I absolutely love this method of building a baby book. It’s exactly the app I would have designed for myself! As a new mom who bought all the fancy baby books and never opened them one time, this was the perfect way to ensure I could actually contribute to building a beautiful baby book in the those wild first newborn months. Each chapter is only a few pages and very manageable to tackle in little bits. I love that it sends pages to you as you finish three chapters so you are always contributing and never holding back for that feeling of “perfectly done.” I love the options to download the final book, reprint pages if you make a mistake, or order extra pages for photos or text (perfect for “dear baby” letters or journal entries!). I built this book in those late night nursing sessions when I could only reach my phone. It also saved me from organizing photos to print and tape into a book, this is straight from phone to printed page. I love this app and they have so much room to grow in the future like more flexible photo collage options, photo cover image, custom pages, and more.

I cannot say enough positive things about The Short Years. My child is 14 months old and I’m still working on his book. That’s what’s so great about the app. You can work at your own pace, not worry about making mistakes, and end up with the most beautiful book that is completely custom. I get this for all of my friends - it is the perfect baby shower gift! I truly cannot recommend this enough!

I couldn’t find a baby book that I loved. One that I could use for all of her months and other special occasions but as soon as I saw this book on TikTok I knew it was the one I wanted. I absolutely love the book and the chapter prompts as it helps me decided what to put in there and allows me to put multiple pictures in her baby book. Getting the keepsake box was another amazing option as it has allowed me to safely keep her coming home outfit as well as her hospital bracelet and more. I’ll 100% use the same company for my next baby.
