I’ve done Spanish Italian and French and I’ve only been able to test my Spanish and I have been told I sound like I’ve always been a Spanish speaker without any English accent. I love how the program lets you test yourself and listen to your self speaking and tests you on your accent. It’s so helpful! Love this app!

I have spent 5 years on Pimsleur Greek with very little progress beyond the first week. I really believed in the effectiveness so I revisit it after a few months and try again. Each time, I feel I’m getting to grips and every time they pull the rug with more unrealistic sentences to answer is too short a time. The reality is that new learners need time to formulate a sentence, Pimsleur does not allow. The actor will talk over you until you have no more desire or motivation to speak the language. It’s certainly not impossible to learn with Pimsleur, if you repeat the lessons multiple times a day and don’t get frustrated by Pimsleur talking over your answers, I’m sure you can learn a lot. Advice to Pimsleur: Invest in your technology. Modern technology could detect when I’m talking and give me enough time to answer the question. Be realistic, learning languages takes longer then 30 days. Build a product that people will stick with for many years instead of relying on cassette tapes. You’re so close to something brilliant.

Very good app. If you want to get totally immersed with language, pronunciation, grammar, sounds, coaching, etc. this is the app for you. My only critique would be that if you went through every lesson, including the extra activities, you would probably be spending one to two hours a day learning.
