Take a tour of the mysterious Red Planet. This virtual globe combines a high-resolution satellite map with laser altimeter data and advanced topographic lighting to present the planet Mars as it appears from above. An Introduction and Guided Tour present some of Mars' most intriguing features. You can leave the guided tour and explore Mars as you like; over 1500 surface features have been annotated with information and links. Mars Globe HD is a must-have app for anyone interested in our solar system. PLEASE NOTE: Regular Mars Globe is a smaller download and is free. This HD version has slightly, not extremely, better resolution and rendering.
Best of the Best
My go to app for identifying Martian surface features. Mars reaches opposition on Dec 7, 2022. I will be imagining the planet through my telescope to record high resolution photographs and will use this app to figure out what I’m looking at.
Easy 5 star, maybe 4.9. Needs event updates
An elegant mars globe complete with Imagery, terrain, spacecraft, graphic links to NASA websites and Wikipedia Perhaps an event history update is close at hand.

Needs an update
The perseverance rover is missing it doesn’t show up on the globe anywhere so I’m hoping that will be an update soon.
I love this app
This amateur astronomer gives this app a 10/10. Super detailed and beautiful. LOVE IT!!!
Please update!!!
Please update by adding to the app the sun and earth and mars moons Phobos and demos and also make the sun more defined in color so that the light of the sun shows up rather then just the light showing up cause you make it look like mars can’t see the sun and Mars’s moons and earth at all. Thank you. PS recommend/mandatory for the ratings boost and ratings numbers getting higher if you care about having more fans that want your apps just saying. Thank you for your consideration.
Nice, can you fix the dead links?
This is not a criticism as it most likely out of your control. The NASA links, or at least the many I’ve tried thus far don’t work, or at least not on my 2017 iPad. If possible, is this something that can be rectified in a future upgrade? No matter, for the price it is a valuable resource.
This app has been updated by Apple to use the latest Apple signing certificate. • Updated for iOS 7 and iOS 8. iOS 7 or later is required for this update. • Supports full resolution on iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. • Added MSL Curiosity time zone. • Added link to my new app for visualizing Mars Rover images, Midnight Planets.
