Almost Perfect
I have been staying very busy thanks to this app. It’s easy to use and way better than the old way of several texts/calls/emails back and forth with a subbing agency. I’ve only had two issues and both could be easily fixed so I’d like to offer these suggestions to the app developers: 1. Please add calendar syncing/integration or the option to manually add events to my GoTu calendar. Sometimes I’m offered shifts locally (like Monday I’m covering for my friend who is on vacation) that weren’t found on GoTu and those are on my phones personal calendar yet when I’m on GoTu applying for or accepting shifts I can’t easily see my availability without flipping back and forth between multiple calendars. Another time I almost accidentally accepted a shift on a day when I have multiple doctors appointments scheduled. I really need calendar integration or the option to add these things manually to my GoTu calendar so I don’t accidentally think I’m available when I’m not. I’ve also had two offices that kindly added me to their favorites list ask me why I didn’t accept days that show I’m available thinking they did something wrong when really I was just unavailable due to things outside of GoTu yet my GoTu calendar displayed to them that I was available for them to request me. I’d really like to be able to block days off myself that I’m unavailable to be requested. 2: There have been offices that display “private practice” and “1 hour per patient” that turn out to be DSOs and really it’s 20-30 minutes per patient. I feel like after the shift is over, there should be an option to verify that the listing was correct. If enough subs flag it as incorrect something should be done or else subs will get fed up being duped and start looking for shifts another way. Other than those two things, I’m very happy with this platform and appreciate all the work on GoTu’s end to keep making continuous improvements.

The specialty option in available shifts posted for dental assistants are inaccurate after the newest update. They all say “general” or “general dentistry” when I know for a fact that one of them is an orthodontic shift. Confusing. Everything else is fine

At first i loved this app! I like how you can do competitive pay, and the offices I’ve worked for are all pretty awesome. But recently, they started sending me temp hygienist jobs, as well as texts for RDH. i am an assistant, i addressed this issue once and thought it’d be resolved. Then, i get another for hygienist. After i replied nicely to tell them i was an assistant, i get a text saying i am now unsubscribed from all GoTu texts? Don’t know if i want to address again, rather than just use a different temp agency. I think there’s some bugs to work out but i they did stand out to me among others.

The app is easy to use, they respond within few hours and the fix the issue immediately when problems occur but the downside is they let the offices dictate the staff hourly rate and the offices are not required to mention how many patients per hour you’re going to treat. I saw many offices in Texas doing accelerated hygiene “without an assistant” and they offer 42$ an hour! There is no way for hygienists to know the amount of patients or the name of the office before signing up.
