United StatesHUD Speed Limits shows the speed limit of the road you're on, together with a speedometer, navigation directions, song/media info and an altimeter. Optionally it can display the speed limit, speedometer, navigation directions, song/media info and altitude mirrored, for usage as a head-up display (HUD) on you windshield.
FEATURES:

You can try HUD Speed Limits for free! If you want to get rid of the reminder popup, the yearly subscription price varies per country (because of taxes, rate conversion), but the exact yearly subscription price is shown when you start the subscription. An indication is shown on this page under 'In-app-purchases', which is price you'll pay per year.

Might be good if some more thought went into it and had things multi size, resizable, etc.
It's an app, not a country club membership. I'm ok with a one off payment but not some random subscription that can go up to god knows what on the whim of the developer. Uninstalled.
I love the simplicity and the HUD feature but it's pretty much unusable for me where I live. A good 70% of roads it doesn't know the speed limit. Even the M60 motorway it doesn't know the limit. Most roads show ... Until we get an option to use premium sources for speed limit information I can't use this which is a shame because it's the only app that is designed how I like.
It keeps on nagging.
Very aggravating app to try to test. It needs a fully functional 1 day test or the ability to buy a 1 week test. I ran it for 4 hours as a test. Half the time it didn't know the speed limit. It would display 50? which was not the speed. I was in a residential area with a 20 limit and I kept getting 50?. I had the same problem on main streets also. It may be just the area where I live though. Maybe it works better in larger cities.
UK, West Midlands. Many limits are wrong. Many areas have no limits at all.... Sad..((
Does what it says on the tin. Simple app works well, yes it would be handy to have it as an overlay but honestly does not bug me nice to be able to switch to it easily without having to have navigation on. Also, at the time of this review it's only $3 a year, US, which ain't bad at all to support these developers
