We found this app on a whim, downloaded it, and headed out. It was a little confusing at first because we came to the first intersection pointed the wrong way. Once we got going the right direction, we were in business! The narrations were so much fun to have! It was challenging to toggle back and forth between the map and the stories. Watch the YouTube tutorial. We're glad we did it and would recommend it. You get a lot closer to the homes in your car than on the big bus tours.
Great to learn in your own History without a rush of being with a guide! you can stop grab a coffee, explore and continue your path on the GPS!!
Worked quite well, a few times it did not tell me when to turn, but it gave a great deal of the history. And,I can listen to any parts over again at a later date.
Easy to use app that gives a really informative tour. Lots of great info.
The app conflicts with Google Auto. The Austin tour tells you to "get in the left lane" several times where doing so would take you directly into oncoming traffic. The tour tells you to turn left into right turns. And the points of interest have less personality and depth than Wikipedia. All in all, a boring, buggy, uninteresting waste of time.
We really enjoyed listening to the store guide and being able to go at our own pace. It was very interesting information. I highly recommend action tour guide
