I can not get past gloomfrost caverns as there is a bug or error trying to speak to Tiernon to get the black mirror so I cannot proceed with the game

I want to play to play this for so long.
This game has lost access to the data folder for over 2 years now, and we would like to know when will the fix on the permissions be done. The game is great as is, but the great thing about all these releases was the ability to modify the games on android devices. I hope there was a breakthrough recently, because this should be pushed as a hotfix or similar, rather than wait for the next major update.
