Bakong is an instant payment system based on the Hyperledger Iroha blockchain (https://github.com/hyperledger/iroha). It allows transferring money by scanning QR codes or entering a phone number or account ID. A user can deposit money to a traditional bank account as well (using ISO 20022 messaging). Blockchain technology provides a secure way to manage payments as well as permissions.
