There is always a live person available, when times are busy a representative will get back to you at the earliest chance. In many ways Roomster is like dating for roommates, and much like those apps, Roomster is a freemium service and we charge for communication between users. Your iTunes account will be charged at confirmation of your purchase and will automatically renew for the same price and duration period as the original package. Subscriptions may be managed by the user and auto-renewal may be turned off by going to the user's Account Settings on the device. If you haven’t subscribed via iTunes, you can manage your subscription through Roomster. Decent app. Bamboozles you into paying for subscription
The app is ok. There are some smaller adjustments that would take this to the next level. Number one being, do not send notifications of new listings / members to you as a “message” and then make me pay and subscribe to see the “message”. Or if there was an ad option where you could access free versions of the app functions without requiring a subscription. I got lots of “messages” that weren’t truly messaged from someone finding my listing and choosing to message me. They were new “listings” which would generate an automatic message and send them to surely many people’s inboxes. IT would also be great if this had a way to filter “matches” with people within a certain mileage from you as well. Some messages I got or listings that popped up showed me other states or cities. Personally, I felt rather annoyed that the app would kind of mislead you into paying for a subscription thinking someone directly messaged you based off your listing, when may not have necessarily been the case. Otherwise, it’s relatively easy to use and helped make some “almost” connections for me. I would say it is worth using if you’re looking to rent or rent some space out

It’s a cool app and I was very happy until I tried to view the messages I was sent concerning houses I was interested in. You have to pay $12 in order to have one WEEK of access to messages. I understand charging for extra features, but the app is completely useless now.

By the time you see your messages, anyone who was genuinely looking for a renter or a space had already given up after being inundated with spam, copy/paste messages, etc. It’s honestly ridiculous. I wish I could get my money back. I paid for the app maybe 30 minutes ago and it’s already been determined to be a waste. Regret. Regret. Regret.
