The thermometers should start a stopwatch when the heat starts rising which would indicate it is in the grill. This should be a toggle so that you can use to see how much time you have been cooking for.

Overall I like the thermometer but the Bluetooth range isn’t to far. It’ll disconnect from my phone with my smoker in the garage and me in the kitchen

The app is clunky to use and alarm is constantly going off for phone disconnecting from transmitter. Which is frustrating when doing an overnight cook because your constantly being woken up by the alarm sound.
