Smart Tune Useless
2023 CVO 121. Stage 1 loads okay, smart tune won’t work. Tuner thinks voltage is below 11.9, even though the bike is at 12.3 with ignition on, bike off, to initiate the smart tune session. Even bought a new battery for the bike just in case. Don’t even really notice a difference with th stage 1. Save yourself the money.

I’ve had the tuner on my bike for a couple of months. So far it has allowed me me to auto tune one time. I’m at the point where I don’t even try to make it work. Wasted 400.00 dollars.

The reason I’m giving this a 3 out of 5 is I have a 23 street glide st that this thing works beautifully with from when I first plugged it in, no problems. Now have a 24 CVO street glide that I can’t get the tuner to tune anything. I just get error messages saying the headlamp failed to turn off and code 14. Talked to Harley and they don’t know what’s going on and the dealership just said yeah it’s not working and spent $94 to be told what already knew and they didn’t even put the right tune through their computer in… so I’d like some answers.

Once you realize you have to keep your screen on it works great recording for smart tune. I now have the se torque cam and smart tune and it’s plenty of power and still get around 50mpg!

I have 2024 CVO Road Glide, the dealer did stage 1 upgrade with the screamin eagle pro street tuner, however the dealer had an issue calibrating with the tuner and kept on giving error code that indicating headlamp didn’t turn off, after couple of weeks went by I took it to another Harley Davidson dealer who advised me that this issue has to be connected with the Harley Davidson technician and do a remote into the repairs. The dealer then told me that they successfully did the stage 1 tuning however I’m not still able to do my own tuning due to some bugs with the tuner. I feel like I’m spending all this money and Harley is selling units that are not ready to use. If I’m still depending on going to the dealer for them to connect their software system what is the purpose of having this unit. Please fix this issue.

I was reading all reviews before buying these auto tuner, and im glad that I bought this tuner , it worked better than I expected!! Don’t understand all these bad reviews I guess some people just can’t work with new technology or simply did not work for their bikes at all. But for my Road Glide 2023 114 stage 1, The minute It was recording on smart auto tune, the sound and the throttle felt completely smoother and faster too after 10 minutes riding my bike it felt awesome! So happy with it. I really do recommend.

You would think that they tested that app with the hardware and the testers told them REAL WORLD results they wouldn’t have pushed this out. Ok I have had my RGST for about five months now. Over 8k on it. Had the “Street tuner” on for about 500 miles. Installed the factory 117 stage 1 tune pretty easy. Still can’t get it to auto tune! It just sits there telling me to start the bike and then hit continue but continue is not selectable. Wasted money because I wanted to stay inside the warranty and not have to worry. Not to mention the tune is doesn’t even take into account the Cam difference on the ST models.
