Please review my home
The my home function crashes every time you hit it
Ugh
How awful can this possibly be?
NOT ACCURATE
There is at least a 3 degree discrepancy between the temperature displayed and the actual temperature. I am always messing with the thermostat. For $1100 you’d think It would be accurate. Or maybe my expectations are just too high these days. Sometimes when I am increasing the temp on the app the dial will randomly shoot up to 87 degrees. A few times I hadn’t noticed and went out. It’s fun to come home to a house that is like a sauna.
No fan, super loud
No circulation fan. And it is super loud
Idiot software developers
Why won’t this stupid App allow me to set temperature beliw 63??
Glad I opted for it
I wasn’t going to get it for a couple reasons, but they threw it in. Love how I can set my system while I am gone and then, on the way home, I can switch it to the temp I want and it is ready by the time I get there.
Lacking HomeKit Support
The S40 definitely helped the installers when they were trying to make the duel fuel system working properly. But the lack of HomeKit really is detrimental to iOS users. I can no longer set up the WiFi using WAC, which is painful considering my horrifically long passwords. My family doesn’t have an easy way to change the temps from their phones anymore because we’re all using the single Home app. Also coming from an E30 (which I only had for a day), it’s weird that this app feels like a step backwards. Knowing nothing about Lennox beforehand, I thought the installers were downgrading me. There’s just an excessive amount of clicks to do the same thing (such as changing the schedule). The immediate screen info was much more useful on the E30 compared to this one as well (such as the use of auxiliary heat). A plus side to this app is it feels a little more polished (such as the loading spinner). But the number of clicks to do or see anything is a huge step backwards. If you want to hide things for simplicity, then why have a big screen on my wall? In any case this is a smart device that supports Apple devices, it should support HomeKit
At Lennox, we are continuously improving our products to better support your needs. For this release, we upgraded the security for Face ID and Touch ID and improved the Smart Away feature while fixing some minor bugs.
