Move to 2FAS NOW!!
The app was good at first, and I continued using it…. until right now where I just found out it was acquired by a shady company. And what do you know, the app hasn’t received any updates since 7 months ago, and has an unprofessional developer that’s literally saying “🍻” in the reviews like it’s going to make me trust them even more?? Other than that the company literally has had no communication whatsoever. So what am I doing, moving to 2FAS like many other people in the reviews. If you haven’t downloaded this app, DON’T. Do your research and look at the other critical reviews. If you have this app already, move immediately, to 2FAS or a reliable alternative.
great simple authenticator
this app and bitwarden are the two most important apps on my phone. Very simple authenticator with dark mode and you can export your OTP codes easily for backups or moving to another authenticator. 10/10
Almost perfect
Great app! My only complaint is that, unlike Authy, it is not available for Apple Watch.
Can no longer recommend as it’s been sold to a sketchy company
Been sold to a sketchy company that doesn’t address privacy related questions. I moved to 2FAS
Recently sold the app to a questionable company
I moved to 2FAS it’s open source. Easy just export json file from Raivo and import into 2FAS. Then just sign out of raivo and delete iCloud backup. Unfortunate but all good things come to end
Development Sold
Sold to an odd company. No updates or communication. Best to start using something else before the app becomes malicious.
I’d love to try it, but…
The app does not appear to have a method for bulk-importing password seeds from another app, such as Google Authenticator. The only way that I can see to add OTPs is to add them one by one. This is especially odd given that the app allows for the bulk export of OTP seeds… The bulk QR codes that Google Authenticator exports would make it really, really easy to switch to Raivo, which I'd like to do, but I’m not manually disabling and re-enabling 40+ 2FA settings on various websites. Please add support for QR codes that have many OTP seeds at once (including from screenshots, as Google Authenticator likely exists on the same device). Looking forward to being able to try the app.
• You can now downgrade to a lower version of Raivo if the version is backwards compatible (based on the semantic versioning model). • Instantly hide OTP's when the app is in the foreground, but the iDevice screen is locked.
