Mobile Network Diagnostics Made Easy Pingify is a free mobile utility app for testing network coverage, Internet reliability and VPN dependability. Find out where and why you get slow Internet and which areas you should avoid as they have poor Wi-Fi or cellular network coverage. With this information, you can connect to other Wi-Fi hotspots that are working better, change your mobile carrier or optimize your route for faster and more reliable Internet. How it Works Once you start a test from the app, Pingify sends out small data messages called pings on all your available Internet connections: Wi-Fi, LTE and any VPN service you might be using. It displays the round trip time (latency) in real time for each of the connection. Pingify also logs the location and the latency for each ping, so you can clearly see when and where your connections are working or not functioning correctly. You are able to easily spot poor network coverage areas of public Wi-Fi hotspots and cellular services. What to Do with the Pingify Test Data When running a Pingify test, the data will be logged locally on your iPhone or iPad device. Here’s what it’s useful for: Easily compare tests from a glance when it comes to connection reliability for each adapter: Wi-Fi, LTE and VPN. Filter pings by location to determine areas of poor coverage or the location of public Wi-Fi hotspots that are not working. See where the Internet is the fastest and has the lowest latency, for each of your connections - great for live streaming. Export your data in .tsv format for further analysis and to share with team members or your lovely ISP support department. Troubleshoot Networking Issues On-the-Go Today’s fast paced world requires a reliable Internet connection wherever you’re online, including when on the move. Do you live stream audio or video and your streaming apps buffer or sometimes even disconnect when you’re walking on the street or traveling by train or bus? Does your VPN service stop working after your Internet connection drops, leaving you exposed to the Internet? Looking for the lowest latency area where you can do live video streaming from? Have you reported Internet outages to ISPs running public WiFi hotspots and to mobile carriers and got the evergreen “we’re investigating this” reply? Sending them some relevant data would help accelerate the investigation. Pingify helps you troubleshoot connection issues for Wi-Fi, cellular and VPN. It also offers reliability data so you know which is the connection you should rely on depending on the area. Permission Requests Optional: Always Location: Allow a user to log and view GPS locations to determine where their connections are working or not functioning correctly.

BEWARE!!!THIS APP IS NOT WHAT IT APPEARS!!!!
The support will block you if you try and ask legitimate questions like why it failed to produce pings in 10.0.0.254 on my gateway after I was able to ping this IP numerous times. I emailed support and “Mike Kane” replied. I sent a reply then I never heard back and when I attempted to contact support through the app again it didn’t go through. I know this because I blind copied myself. My results then failed to show in the app. The whole reason I downloaded Pingify from the App Store was because I have a hacker on my network and Xfinity gateway who terrorizes me daily. It appears he has hacked Pingify now. DO NOT USE PINGIFY is my advise.
Loads of potential!
Been using to track an issue with my ISP or router (verdict still out). Good tool. But, I have ideas to make it great! Would like to see them add the ability to disable tracking on Cellular/WiFi/VPN. Right now I have to turn off my cellular connection to not track it, and I’m only wanting to test WiFi. And, add an option for an audible noise when a ping fails so you could be alerted to look at your router in real time while a short outage is occurring. Watching the report as it comes in is very boring when attempting to spot and troubleshoot intermittent outages in real time. And, toggle for the list of pings it generates to just show failed pings, along with time stamps instead of sequential numbers would also be helpful. And, an option to ping multiple IPs at once (max 3?) up to maybe 5 times each per second. So, up to 15 pings per second, and the user sets a failure rate (say, 50%), and it only tracks an “outage” if success falls below that percentage. 14/15 for a second = no big deal, but 2/15 shows something is really wrong. But, it’s been very helpful as it works now!
Nice but...
Nice but it doesn’t do what I was looking for. I was searching the App Store for an app that would show me the (public) IP address of each interface-Wi-Fi cellular and VPN. Looks like this app doesn’t display it but has the information, (since it does show me the name of my cellular data provider. ) Would be cool if they teamed up with Nice Trace developer Pavel to combine forces, as each app has its strengths.
Getting empty lines
The app works great but what are the empty lines I am getting time to time when running a test?
Update Lost Feature
Latest update to the app removed the view of pings against time. My main use of this app was to graph when pings would drop out over time, the new graph only groups the speed.
Diagnose my home WiFi!
Finally an app that I can use to help with my home WiFi!
