Does not work.
Doesn’t work with IPhone only android..Yup you read that right, Apple most popular phone in the world and it doesn’t work with it.. super cool.. Wast of $1400..
Kenwood is putting out poor quality products
I agree with others that Kenwood is advertising product features that their products don’t really do. At least to the point that it obviously and intuitive.
Does not work
Ive tried months pairing and unpairing conecting my phone direct to usb but never worked . Kinda feel ripped off main reason I spend over 1200 was mirroring. DMX9907XR and Iphone XS Max combo
Worthless and frustrating
Absolutely no way to make this work even if you abandon this app and get the HDMI cable and splitter and USB lightning adapter it’s still very tricky and doesn’t work right in terms of providing video to the screen and then being able to switch back to the GPS.
Won’t work for iPhone!
I have an iPhone and it won’t work with it, even with the cable they say to use
Does not work!
I spent hours trying to get mirroring to work between my Kenwood DNR1007XR and Apple iPhone 12 Pro before I gave up. The bluetooth profile on the Kenwood unit does not give an option for mirroring, so I’m sure that is where the problem is. It may not be an issue with the app, but for the money that you spend this should work whether it is wired or wireless. I will say that screen mirroring is a breeze with Apple’s HDMI to iPhone adapter though.
Is Kenwood stupid?
I can’t imagine a major electronics company puts out this garbage. It appears as if it was made as a joke/ grade school project. I wasted over $1500 on a Kenwood DMX 1037 stereo because one of the things I thought it could do (which they said it would do) is mirroring from an iPhone. SEVERAL HOURS during the past six months trying to get this to mirror it doesn’t. I finally called Kenwood today to ask them another question and then I asked him how do I mirror the iPhone. The representative said that they never said you can wirelessly mirror iPhone to my unit. I then read him the official page from the Kenwood instruction manual on how to mirror. He said the only way to mirror is with the cable I think he said a CVA3 cable and attach that to some kind of “Isimple” cable and then I attach that to an HDMI cable that goes to my iPhone. I told him I never even read any of that on the Internet when searching for the solution to this problem. He said I would not find it on the Internet and that is why he’s telling me. What a joke! This Kenwood unit is garbage , this app is garbage, … do not buy anything from Kenwood.
