Battery Monitor BLE is an application for vehicle battery, which can let them know the real-time voltageof car battery. It helps users to know the battery fully by testing cranking and charging system voltage. All of the datas can be showed on mobile through bluetooth.
Battery monitor works as advertised.
The only down side to this monitor is that the Bluetooth connectivity distance is very limited. Otherwise it does a great job of tracking and storing the battery voltage history.
Android Head Unit
I installed app years ago on phones and my cars head unit. It works on phones but NOT on my android head unit. I just noticed there it list BM2 wanbaolu as the developer! I uninstalled app then reinstalled and it still in not connect via Bluetooth. But my phone does. I want to use my head unit instead of phone on this vehicle. Everything else sees Bluetooth but not this app on this unit!! Not happy.
Always Synchronizing?
I bought this to monitor the health of the 12V battery in my BMW i3. I figured I would use it to see how often the DC-DC converter kicks on to recharge the battery. The problem is that the app always seems to be "synchronizing data," which completely locks you out of doing ANYTHING else with the app. I've been able to look at historical info (for the day, for instance) exactly twice in the four days I've had this installed. At all other times, it is "synchronizing data," so not useful for anything else.
No distance/range
For me. I have to be within 10 foot of my car or the Bluetooth won’t connect. Other than that seems to work fine.
Can set custom battery voltage!
Great that custom battery voltages can be set for AGM and Lithium. I use 1 of each and this was an update I was hoping to see. I like that I can set up and monitor 2 batteries but wish I could swipe the screen left or right to see each Battery rather than having to select each battery through the setting menu. Or if both battery could be seen on a single window it would be nice. Really like the app. Get it, you will be happy you did.
Not Smart
The most recent update claims to have added support for Lithium batteries. It doesn’t let you select lithium batteries though. My lithium batteries show up as lead acid, and that screws up the read out. It looks like it assumes that any voltage reading above a certain point means the battery is charging, but LiFePOs can hold a charge above 14 V, so the app shows “charging” all the time. Lithium also has a different discharge curve than Lead Acid, so the app will show low battery when it’s not. Finally, the way these apps contrive to collect your location data is tiresome. Gratefully Apple lets you block it.
Multi Battery
Will this monitor 2 batteries?
